The entity called Nigeria gain independence in 1960.

Anything that happened before 1960 was/is insignificant as it was being run by the Britain.

There was nothing like the current Lagos state before 1960.

Nigeria, as it is now, did not exist before 1966.
The groundnuts funds from the north and the coal funds from the east was not used to develop the western region.



So if this is Lagos in 1960 then, it is wrong to say Nigerian money were used to develop it.


Every state in Nigeria has been collecting allocation from Nigerian government since it's creation.

Lagos is using its internally generated funds plus the federal allocation to develop itself.

Other states should emulate Lagos.
