No less than 10,000 soldiers were killed or wounded during the long months of fighting in the Gaza Strip which are missing from service. According to the Defense Ministry's data, every month about 1,000 new soldiers join the ranks of the physically and mentally wounded.

That was even in August. I would assume they are at or close to 11k casualties now.
