Idris Ishola 27-year-old, has been arrested by the Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the Imo State Police Command for allegedly kidnapping and murdering a 20-year-old lady, Oluchi Odumele of Orsu local government area of Imo state.
Parading the suspect before newsmen, the state commissioner of police, Dasuki Galadanchi, said Ishola, an indigene of Osun State, was arrested in Nkpolu, Rumuigbo in Rivers State on August 17th in connection with the murder of Oluchi.
The police commissioner said Ishola confessed to killing the lady and also confessed that himself and a gang which he leads, have also kidnapped six other persons in the state.
“Idris Ishola is the principal suspect who was involved in the kidnapping of six victims and the murder of one Miss Oluchi Odumele, 20, of Orsu in lmo State. ldris lshola, who is 27 years from Osun State, was arrested at Nkpolu Rumuigbo in Rivers State on August 17, 2018”.

Two notorious traffic bandits who have been terrorising road users along Maza Maza/Mile 2 road have been nabbed by the undercover operatives of the Lagos state police command posted to provide security for commuters along that route.
The two robbers, David Mike Okon, 32 years pictured right and Ibe Okonne, 27 years, who had been on the watch list of the command were arrested on the 11th of August, 2018 while robbing a lady identified simply as Oluwatosin around Mile 2.

US Embassy has suspended consular services in Abuja



According to a statement on its website on Tuesday, The United States Embassy has suspended consular services and appointments in Abuja till further notice. It explained that appointments for visa and for American citizen services have also been put on hold.
Consular operations in Lagos were, however, not affected, the mission said in. No reason was given for the decision.

According to the statement, “Until further notice, all consular appointments at the U.S. Embassy in Abuja have temporarily ceased for both visa and for American Citizen Services. Consular functions in U.S. Consulate Lagos are not affected and will continue. Scheduled visa and ACS applicants for Abuja will be contacted for rescheduling.”

The Embassy directed American citizens in the north with emergency services needs to continue to contact the after-hours emergency number for Abuja at 09461-4000 and press “0” to go to the operator to request assistance. It said American citizens in the north with urgent travel needs who are travelling before Tuesday and who are willing to re-schedule their travel through Lagos should contact the ACS office at Consulate Lagos ( 01460 3400 and LagosACS@state.gov) to discuss their options...
