Firstly, imagine that the total package is 260k, while the actual rent is 150k, just because agreement and commission is amounted to 110k. This is one of the bad things going on in our society today. The percentages of agreement, commission and caution fee is too much and is making life unbearable for many people.


Secondary: "I have been able to deposit 210k since last month, left with 50k. I actually borrowed to add up the 210k I deposited." Why will you borrow to pay for rent. If you can't comfortably pay it by yourself now, how do you intend to be able to continue to renew it?

For the first paragraph, I learnt the commission and agreement shouldn't exceed 40% but that's not the case. I initially wanted a selfcon but I couldn't afford the fee, reason I went for something lower.

For the second paragraph, I can afford to save 12k and more monthly before the next renewal since it's once a year plus the subsequent rent is 150k. Out of the 210, the borrowed amount was only 70k, 140k was personal funds. I intended to rent later around late August to at least get a decent place, but where I'm staying currently is no more conducive cos the cold attitude towards me is almost unbearable. The rent issue was impromptu reason I found myself in this situation.

That there is an inflow of cash does not mean that there is cash liquidity in the business. That credit receipt you guys have seen may have already been spent before it even came in. Overdue invoices or credit purchases may have already finished the money before una see the inflow

Yes you're absolutely right. In this case, a bit of communication with your staff as regards the reason for the delay should suffice not acting ignorant. Your submission is not entirely wrong but what happens you owe salaries but you are replacing old gadgets in the office. There are family persons who depend on the meagre salary to take care of their loved ones. They can do better.

No tangible excuse. We have a whatsapp group where the accountant posts credit receipts. One of such can offset the staff salaries but she prefers to delay.

My last place of work is owned by a woman, she's a single mum. I was doing a job of three people, so bad that fatigue sets in before 12pm. The salary is so bad that it does not see the 15th of the new month. Salaries are paid between 4th and 7th of a new month. Left after 4months. It was crazy. There was this lady that was employed, she came in quite chubby and curvaceous. She was yet to spend 2months, the chubbiness and curves disappeared because of stress. I had to leave for my mental state.
