I want you to know that people can go any length to scam and it doesn't matter how you got to know. The amount you paid and the data he's offering still looks suspicious. I've once fell for this same trap and it was even from a Data Website (Like he paid for a website and was using it to scam). But in my own case, I knew it was a scam and I tried to use small amount to satisfy my curiosity.
