The second mechanic said something about possible overheating before and coolant related stuffs. He charged me, and he did his thing and the issue is still there Heffalump: "Spiritual hard starting" ...lol. There is nothing spiritual here, man. A bad fuel pump can cause that shit too. You didn't tell us what exactly you did that amounted to the 300k, so I'm restricted to offer any other advice really. However, the ignition coils and plugs can be culpable sometimes. If the previous owner has removed the engine coolant thermostat prior, please replace it asap. Some Nigerian mechanics can offer very bad advice sometimes. If you notice overheating, look at the fans and radiator performance. |

If you see a Nigerian used Toyota corolla 2005 at N3m on Facebook, that's a red flag paid 4.5m boss. That's even my problem, I saw some cars listed over 4m but I just believed they will have some issues |

How can I get it and how does it work? ALOBAM: If four mechanics couldn't find a vacuum leak or a failing check valve with 300k, they weren't fixing a car, they were funding their own kids' school fees. Before you let "Mechanic No. 5" guess his way through your remaining savings, get a basic OBD2 scanner. |

2cribz: Hard starting, it might be from the brainblox,or wrong fuel pump wiring. Open the fuel tank fron inside. Remove the back seat lower, take it off,ud see the small fuel tank enclosure cover, remove it,pry the return inside, slang gently till u disconnect the hose and casing. Look inside the fuel tank, what do u see, look at the casing wiring and check for any modifications or repairs, wrong wiring, loose wiring, check the fuel pump filter, should be goldfish cream or white,if its black dirty and blocked then ud found 1 of the culprits..pls for now don't allow any baztad go to starter, fusebox, brainbox, alternator, battery, etc. Abeg first do what I said and get back to me. So we can take it I will take this comment to the technician. It's my first car, so I don't really know how to do this but thank you so much |

I recently bought a Toyota Corolla 2005 model, Nigerian used. Since then I've had this constant problem of hard starting. It's not very bad though, it picks after second or third kick, although in some cases it could be worse prompting my battery to run down.
I have explained the issue to about 4 mechanics, each of them telling me what they suspected could be the cause, I paid them and at the end of the day, nothing changed. I've spent over 300k on this very issue.
The only option I'm considering now is that of the latest mechanic that told me it could be fuel pump system pressure or electrical fault or both. I'm just afraid of spending money again because I'm already afraid it may not work. So NL family, have your car ever had this "spiritual hard starting" problem? And how did u get out of it? |

proxillin: Iran is finished.
They have resolved to online propaganda to hide their loss.
But on ground, Iran is a paper tiger.
They could not sink a single US warship. atleast try to sink one small ship.
Iran under performed. Hamas is even more formidable I swear. The only thing Iran is good at now is online propaganda. The real stats tells a different story from what we see online. Yesterday, Iranian media outlet said it was 100% sure that Benjamin Natenyahu has been eliminated |

Is there any customer protection paper that is obtainable from the police to attest that I actually bought the car and not stolen in case of eventuality?

ALTERNATEID: China has invested billions of dollars in Nigeria. They won’t sit idle and watch Trump bomb their investment into rubbles. Russia is an ally of China. Once is affects China, Russia is also affected.
So, while we don’t want any interference in the sovereignty of Nigeria, we must ensure we are prepared for all possible eventualities. We are dealing with a lunatic and that’s why we need all possible friends to stand without One terrorist seen. Who told you that US is coming to bomb people's investments? The mission is simple and clear; take out your brother terrorists. |

seppuku: The US is not as safe as you might think. You have a higher chance of being shot there than anywhere else in the world. Because their security architecture is quiet different from Nigeria's. In the US, citizens have right to own firearms. If that was Nigeria then, Nigeria population would be under 50m. But then, are there bandits and terrorist organisations operating freely in the US? |
