Lol I sold my property last year in lagos. Trust me the person that bought it was from diaspora and he even purchased the one around the vicinity. I got to meet him to discuss about my own property, took him to the place and tour around it. After said and done he went back we continue the discussion. After much bargain, he called his lawyer and we agreed on terms and before he wired the money, both the lawyer, brother, estate chairman and myself did a video coverage and attested the claim of owner to another.
You see money no dey look back once e don comot for your hand.
Lawyer is After his 10% and won't verify either at alausa or anything related to verification of land history and so on. I will not discourage you to purchase your first building in city centre but I will inform you about the lost many have encounter in the hands of promising agents.
I fear the lawyer might not do anything and he's requesting for 10%.

Please is there any way I could verify things myself online?

I intend to buy a property in Lagos Nigeria so I came across a post on Twitter, did a video with the agent to see the property.

But the agent is telling me to make payments immediately as she has other buyers interested in the property. This is my first time buying any property I wouldn't want to be swindled coupled with the fact that I'm not physically present to see the property.

The said property has a 'freehold' as the title. I contacted a lawyer, who's charging me a 10% of the purchase price.

Please if anyone has been in such situation before how did you handle it.
