when you are watching a korean drama and you actually forget that you are watching people acting out a series of scenes, and it feels like you are a part of their world, that is how to know an amazing drama.


remember was one of those dramas, it took me through different emotions, sometimes I wanted to kill gyu man, sometimes I wanted to hug JW and say everything will be ok, sometimes, I felt like I should advice him to stop exposing all his plans to GM so as to finish him off, sometimes I wanted to hit DH on his head so he can come back to his senses and pick the right side, sometimes I tried to understand all the people GM bought and why they had to sell their conscience, though it was hard. sometimes I laughed so hard, one of such scenes was ep 19 after the chairman made his speech and DH met them on the way, after saying all he had to say he stuck his tongue out like a little boy, that was funny.

I would also say that I wasn't fine with GM suicide end, I wanted a plot where he would beg for death but he won't find it, a plot where he would attempt suicide but he would be saved and isolated more, I didnt like the death sentence life imprisonment more like like it.

JW amnesia or memory loss should have been helped because even though he forgets the past and all the sad memories, he would still forget all the good ones as well, and his condition will only get worse. I dont think it was a happy ending for JW even though all his missions and desires were accomplished.

in all at the end of the drama, I felt like I had just returned from another world entirely and then when I saw pictures of the cast today in a happy selfie, then and only then did I realise that I had been watching a scripted drama all along.

Where do I start from? There are some dramas that start with a bang and fizzle out in the middle, but not this drama. Till the end, it remained amazing!
Big ups to everyone that was involved in this drama, it was awesome!

I'm so glad I was a part of the journey even though the earlier eps were frustrating and I wondered when JW was going to get justice.
When Justice was finally served, and I looked back at all he went through to get to that point, I appreciated the journey even more.

The drama was all about the war of the son. JW's war. Even though I was thankful for IA's presence in his life, there was only so much she could do. It was HIS fight.

Down with prosecutor Buns! he totally deserved what he got.
As for the Nams, YK was right when she told her father he was the reason her brother turned out that way. He had it coming, so good radiance!
Speaking of YK, she is the most under-utilised character in Kdrama history. I can't still understand why she was billed as a main character, and after like 3eps they just stopped showing her. And even when she appeared, she barely got 30secs of screen time. Even the Judge got far more screen time than she did.

As for NGM, guy just had no redemption. He was a coward, period. All these time he was using daddy's influence to perpetuate his criminal acts and get away with it. When daddy abandoned him, and he cried- for the first time- I was just shaking my head.
I'd have loved for him to go crazy (LFAS villain style), but he had to take the easy way out. Either way, he'd have died, 'cos he got the death penalty- well deserved by the way.
*in the detective's voice* "The wages of sin is death..." I laughed during that scene! Detective turned evangelist.

While I'm kinda sad that JW finally gave in to his ailment, I respect the writer for sticking to the storyline. For me, I was satisfied with how it ended.
JW needed that peace, and I'm glad all the bad memories got erased.

I won't say this is the best drama of the year yet, because the year is still kinda fresh, but this drama is definitely up there among the best I've watched.

Concerning PMY's role, yes she was the prosecutor and a friend but I just didn't feel the spark with her role. I wanted something that could draw me to her character apart from being a helper, it just wasn't there. maybe I'm reading too much into it.

BUT.......

The amnesia plot was a no no for me.
Gyuman taking the easy way out(suicide) after his dad abandoned him.
I always asked myself what PMY's role was in the drama..I never felt the impact.
