if you actually dont need more than 10k as a cash then pos vendors should not be your problem... you should embrace more of online banking then..

How many people were using banks during those days? when one micro finance bank can confidently serve an entire village , 80 percent of Nigerians were unbank ,, how in your little mind do u think one bank can serve the whole village?

Part of it is tipping, paying hotel services, giving my driver money for gas etc. etc.
I spent about 500k in cash in 10 days even though I have a bank card.
And I had to exchange it at a loss because there was no money in the ATMs.

You guys seem to have gotten accustomed to tomfuckery that you can be even rationalizing paying any amount to get access to your money because the banks you put it in won't give you cash. Expect better.

To top it off, my bank was acting shitty all during Dec and Jan before I left. Going through my account I have about 1 million in bank charges that I've been going back and forth with the bank to Return. Debits from double and triple charges from POS machines in some restaurants that were not working and cancelled UBER and Bolt Holds that I called for people not falling off.

So, I actually plan on doing more cash transactions for the smaller stuff so I won't have to deal with the bank nonsense I'm dealing with now.

none of the people you mention above ,, that does not have access to the banking system,, even the aboki are all embracing online payment... if your banks does not have the capability to carry out your transactions switch to fintech banks,, opay and moniepoint carryout seamless transactions with any issues and at cheaper rate too..
please pity those pos guys,, it is only in Nigeria that people finish university and hang on the street to do pos ... use fintech banks for your transactions if you don't like paying pos charges

I've been complaining about this nonsense since.

You'll go to a bank ATM only to discover that they're not dispensing cash, yet all the POS agents around the banks all have cash. Before Ecobank Ojuelegba was demolished, there was a time I went there their atm wasn't dispensing cash, Access bank which is close to them too didn't have cash. Yet all the POS operators within that vicinity had suplurs cash. You can even request for 100k and they'll give you.

Even the banks who would manage to give you cash wouldn't give you above 10k. If you want anything above 10k go to POS.

Yesterday I made a withdrawal of 10k from a POS operator, she charged me N300. Yes you heard me right N300 to collect 10k. She told me that it's because of the new charges CBN put on them for 10k deposits and above. So if I want 50k I'll pay 1,500? What kind of robbery is that?

I've been saying this that banks deliberately starve their ATMs of money because many of them sell cash to POS operators who in return sell to customers at abnormal rates. CBN should keep up the good work they're doing by slamming them with heavy fines.

We are our problem in this country.

is it the 100 naira and 200 naira that you are paying to pos agents that is paining you like this or you want to transfer your po.verty aggression to them...
when you decides to collect money from pos agents,, you are paying for convenience and service rendered,, if that money is too big for u why not trek to the bank....
l am more than glad pos agents exist,, l don't have 5 minutes to waste following bank protocols even if the money is readily available... pos people are not your problem,, if you are too broke to pay for those tiny charges ,, trek to ur bank oga..
