simonjo: You don't need a Dubai visa, you are just on a transit to the US and a pretty short one.
Enjoy your short stay at DXB God bless you, thank you |

Hello please does anyone know if there's any restriction? Is a Dubai Visa required for Nigerian passport holder with US Immigrant Visa, traveling to the United States with connecting flight in Dubai?
The ticket has a 4 to 5 hours layover in Dubai, flight route is Lagos - Dubai - US
Thanks in anticipation |

@lagosniv good day sir/ma'am
I'm curious about what the hold up at the Lagos Embassy is, for sending available interview slots to NVC for IR and CR visas
Some of us have been waiting for available interview dates since case complete of August 22, 24 and so on
Each time we call the NVC to verify if we have received interview dates, they tell us that they are waiting on Lagos Embassy to send them available slots
It is extremely difficult to be this far apart from our spouses especially during the holidays. Many of us are paying outrageous last minute ticket prices just to return to Nigeria to spend Christmas with our spouses. We were hopeful they would be interviewed by November or latest early December, in time to join us here in the States for Christmas
Please help us understand what is causing the delay, thank you |

geerem: Please help, for the past two months NVC has being rejecting my marriage certificate, saying it is not in the right side up, I have rotated it in different positions and I keep getting the same message, please how did you place yours . I don't know what to do again as I have rotated the document in different positions but I keep getting "Thisdocument is not in the right side up position .please replace with a scan which displays the words horizontally on the screen", please help me I placed it in this position but I made sure all the edges were straight. If you look well, yours is slanting. This position is correct, it is horizontal but slanting a bit Also make sure you use a very big scanner. Place the entire document in the middle of the scanner and make sure it's a perfect edge rectangle before gently closing the lid to scan so it doesn't shift Pele NVC wahala is something else |

post=72717555: You are welcome. So, back to your question.
Assuming this question was asked sometimes in September, the answer would have been an outright YES! But this is November already , we are talking about 2 months here, now, it is 50/50, no one can be 100% sure about the embassy and the time they schedule their interview, one can only speculate (it takes around 3 months there about). They have the final say concerning that. When they send you the interview date, you will have to wait for roughly for another 2 months before the interview, so you looking at January next year there about. Don't rush it at all, let them do it there time, you are on a good path. Goodluck. Oh wow! Lord have mercy and favor us. Thank you so much for all your help, God bless you!! |

post=72707052: Got your mention at the other thread notifying us about your thread. Let's try to brief you the little we know about this. First of all, congratulations about your 'case completed at NVC' that is a very good step you have passed. So the next thing will be for you to wait patiently for your interview letter, which will take between 2 to 3 weeks, after you get your interview letter, then get ready for your medical exam at any of the only 2 hospitals recognised on the Island (Lagos) to carry out the medical, you ( your hubby rather) will be taking the medical result with you to the interview, the medical result comes out after like 2 weeks, so check your interview date to know how soon you will be going for the medical... Wishing you all the very best. We may be a bit busy for sometime but we'll gladly give you any info you need for free as much as we know and as much as we have the time to reply. It's surprising to see that many people don't answer urgent question here, concerning this, they rather even delete your question on some thread. Hope they won't delete this! All the best once more sis. Oh God bless you immensely, thank you so much. Please do you know what is the possibility of him interviewing next month? Do you think if I return to Nigeria for Christmas, there's a possibility we can return back together after the new year? I'm so confused and worried because of the timing |

post=68129468: You don't pay for the visa pick up at DHL. It's free... about the medical, there are only 2 hospitals in Lagos that is approved to do that and only one in Abuja (those are the only 3 approved all over Nigeria). I can't really remembered the exact amount I paid for my medicals some few months ago, I still have the receipt tho, but it's not with me at the moment( I'll give you more details later), but it's below 90K.... plan for 100K tho, you will go back home with the remaining. They are both on the Island. I'll send you the contact numbers for the 2 hospitals also when I get back to base. Goodluck.
Guess you are lucky I saw your post immediately you posted it here. I was like you looking for all information i can gather just few months ago also.
The only difference now, is that I did Cr1, not K1. hello please we just received our case complete at NVC stage for CR1, I even created a thread just now for it. Please help me answer my question about the interview, God bless you |

Hello VO,
I am a US citizen and filing for my husband. We are currently at the NVC stage and awaiting a case complete for our CR1 Visa, our priority date is Dec 28 2017. We've submitted all our civil documents and awaiting acceptance, I have a few questions;
1. Are there still available interview dates for this year? I read somewhere on Visa Journey that all slots are filled up. We are interviewing at the Lagos Embassy
2. How soon can we receive an interview date once our case is completed at NVC?
3. Do we need to wait for directions from the Embassy before doing the medical or can we go ahead and get it done?
4. What are our chances of spending Christmas together in the US this year?
5. Can we choose an interview date or do we have to wait for the Embassy to choose one for us?
Thank you for your time |
