In a family setting there's what we call division of labour, that's a situation where members of a family are to carry out their expected duty in other to enhance functional family system. A man can not come back from work very tired and you'll be expecting him to go and start cooking when the wife is there doing nothing, is totally unacceptable. If she's a working class woman we might understand. Some women will even be watching movies at home while their spouse is starving, but they don't care. Couples are supposed to support each other in marriage by playing their roles effectively for the benefit of the children and family at large. If a man wants to cook it should be at his own free will not because his wife refused to do her primary duty after coming back from work.

I hate to see men complain about food every time. Cooking is a basic survival instinct not gender based.
