A married lecturer was arrested yesterday for inviting a female student he was assigned to supervise her final year project to a hidden hotel in barracks road, Igoli Ogoja, Cross River state.

In a video gone viral on social media, the lecturer was caught asking the student, “Have I done any wrong? Then he turned to explained to the officers that he was set for his promotion interview before the female student called him.

President Muhammadu Buhari, on Monday inaugurated the National Minimum Wage Committee.

The committee, which is chaired by Ms. Ama People is saddled with the responsibility of negotiating a new National Minimum Wage for Nigerian workers.

The 30-member committee was inaugurated inside the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Former President Chief Olusegun Obasanjo says that diabetes only kills those who are careless about its treatment.

He said a diabetic patient can still live till 100, saying “I don’t know when I will die but I am above 80 and many youth could not catch up with my pace during the exercise this morning”.

Mr. Obasanjo made the statement on Friday in Abeokuta when he led hundreds of people on a road walk to sensitise the populace on the disease and how to manage it.

A 42-year-old woman, Mrs. Doris Oseni, has told a Customary Court in Ondo town, Ondo State, that she caught her husband of 12 years, Prophet Femi Oseni, on the floor of the church office, having sex with another woman.

The woman, who is also an evangelist in the church, therefore asked the court for the dissolution of their marriage on the grounds of adultery, desertion and lack of love on the part of the husband.
