Please guys,
I need URGENT HELP.

My passport will be expiring in 6 months so I decided to go renew and change my surname due to marriage at the same time.
Now IRCC has sent me a mail to submit my original passport (I applied for visiting visa in March 2022). And Nigerian Immigration is delaying me. Please what can I do?

Also if one doesn’t submit before the deadline, what are the chances of them stamping the passport again? I need help o.

That simple matter.. the first thing you do is just fill the webform now ..attach ur wedding cert and explain ur current status change to married including ur husband details like fullname,age,nationality and adddress..and when u done with change name and you get a new passport also inform ircc ..the change of status from single to married even increase ur chance of visa because you have a stronger home tie as a newly married person.congratulations and wishing you joy and happiness in ur marriage

Hi everyone, please I’m new on this thread.

I have a question, I have applied for Canadian visitor’s visa since February 2022 and did biometric in March 2022. Till date no feedback or anything.

Now I just got married and did change of name last year. My passport is expiring soon so I want to renew and do the change of name at once.
Will it affect my visa application in anyway since I used old details?
Because if they ask me to send the passport, I will have the new one, how will I go about it please?

i dont know how best to thank you both for the great responses you have given on this platform. i came across this thread randomly and i have been stuck here for hours virtually going through everything (though i still wasn't able to).

my own question may seem off or lowering but i have to throw it out. i studied electrical engineering in UNN, i am currently serving my fatherland . i wish to practice this profession, and i have my mind on electrical designs, wiring and installations. but people have been really discouraging, that its a demeaning field since i am a B.Eng holder, that its technicians job. i really have ideas of taking wiring to the next level in Nigeria,from residential buildingd to commmercial and all kinds, but it feels like i am wasting my time.

please i need your advice on how to go about this. i am currently learning autocad, and @oyb i am grateful for that link and sites you shared years back sef , i hope i get a response tho.
