WhoDeyHause: As they bottled Who still won the championship? You can see it was Leicester that almost bottled the championship not Ipswich. Everyone knew they will go straight back up to EPL because of their squad which you can't compare to Ipswich. So give McKenna his credits. |

WhoDeyHause: Which prejudice? Was Maresca not with us last year before moving to leceister? Same way i don't want Ikenna at the club is the same way I won't want Maresca too.
Boss I followed the championship too at a point ipswish also topped that table before gaining some inconsistent results and almost losing their epl spot to Leeds before they also messed up. You suddenly forgot Leicester topped with 20 points during December? |

Na wa o. Ahh you're confused, between Leicester and Ipswich who almost bottled championship?🤷 Who knew Ipswich will be promoted? |

izzou: Was Potter a loser when you gave him the job?
You crucify Poch for not carrying the Ligue with PSG, and that proves my point...A Bigger expectation.
If the same Poch coached Lille and came second, we will all clap for him and say he did try.
When these newbies messes the team up and dump us at 15th, at Week 10, that's when we will start looking for a reasonable replacement.
We know Ikenga is a winner. He should go to Brighton and keep winning there. Can you name one experience coach available for Chelsea? |

WhoDeyHause: Xavi also took that Barcelona team to the Europa league that season and also lost in the playoffs of the round of 16 after barka spent over 200m for him on transfers don't forget that. Laligo is mostly a two horse league so I might bet on it [b]if they can also spend the same way they spent on xavi that season[b]. Alright, fingers crossed as next season drama unfolds...... |

kingBolton: The difference between Arteta and Lampard then was the luxury of time Arteta was afforded. Lampard finished top 4 and was sacked in the second season, Arteta finished outside the top 4 for three seasons in a row and still had a job.
The only reason you are debating who was rated better now is because of what Arteta has done in the last two seasons, as far as I can remember, it was mostly ole and lampard debate , Arteta was barely in the conversation then as far as the 2019/2020 season is concerned. You can go back and check both united Chelsea and Arsenal threads conversation of that season. I told him already time was the essential factor. Imagine arteta finishing 8th twice at Chelsea? Impossible he is SACKED. |

WhoDeyHause: The thing dey muse me. If that same Alonso was in Bayern Munich and finished 2nd not even 4th with no trophy you'll see the pressure he'll be under. Bayern has already appointed kompany right? We'll see how it goes if he doesn't perform to the club's expectations especially in bundesliga next season. Flick will be Barcelona manager, would you bet they will win la Liga against current real Madrid next season? Remember Xavi won it in first season.... |

BlueRayDick: That is not the difference between them. Arteta simply won a trophy in his first year as a coach and that bought him time. If he had not won a cup , he would've been sacked like Lampard too.
Arsenal sacked Emery after 18 months at Arsenal. Guess what? Lampard was also sacked after 18 months at Chelsea obviously for the same reason Arsenal sacked Emery. Correct he got time to improve but what has he won since 2020? Well that's arsenal standard. We will not be having this conversation if he was at Chelsea because he would be SACKED.... |

WhoDeyHause: Flick was assistant coach for over 10 years in different leagues and was with Germany when they won the world cup in 2014. I think somebody was their coach before he was employed why didn't he win with that prime bayern Munich team? Does managing 86 games amount to experience? |

Where's the experience? Fingers crossed, we will know if Barcelona wins la Liga next season against real Madrid. Xavi first season might be better than flick, at the end everyone is gambling. |

WhoDeyHause: If we can't get an experienced coach who's tested and tried in the top five leagues or Europe then there was no need falling out with pochettino especially as his contract expired next season. This is Chelsea not Brighton. Pochettino is gone already so we must accept our fate with the new manager |

BlueRayDick: He finished 8th in the EPL and won a major trophy in his first season. Now how and when was Lampard better than Arteta as a coach ?
NB: Arsenal is Arteta's first job as a first team manager Time is an essential factor but unfortunately Chelsea doesn't tolerate average performance that's why lampard was sacked and arteta is still arsenal manager for 5 fucking years without a major trophy.Facts; Arteta won't last a season as Chelsea manager |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Vischy: 10:50am On May 23, 2024 |
BlueRayDick: Una go just dey cap carelessly with full confidence.
When was Lampard ever a better manager than Arteta?
Lampard took over a team that Sarri had just used to trash Arsenal in the Europa league final in 2019; Guess what he did with that team? He used that team to lose against Arteta's team in FA cup final 2020. That was Arteta winning his first cup less than one year of taking over at Arsenal.
Lampard was never a better manager than Arteta at any point in time. Lampard was a great football player , but a shitty manager. Everyone at Chelsea knows this, those at Everton know this as well. You suddenly forgot Chelsea lost Hazard and we couldn't sign replacement because of transfer ban yet lampard made it to top 4 with academy players. |

BlueAngel444: Ipswich town 2019/20 10th 2020/21 9th 21/22 December before hiring McKenna from united, they were 12th, he did win seven of his first 10 matches, keeping seven clean sheets during that run and eventually setting a club record of 559 minutes without letting in a goal. And finishing a point here than the previous season, but 11th.
Then his first full season in charge as a manager, they won promotion finishing highest scoring, high points only 3 points from winning league one and lowest goals conceeded.
Not to speak of game changing goals to go from beind to win.
He carried this into championship, where they finished just one point difference to winning the league, toping championship scoring chart with 92goals while conceeding 57, not the best defence but top three because of McKenna's tactics.
If he repeats that same "trick" with Chelsea who basically like Poch said are mid table, underdogs we could finish top 3 next season. Problem is players moral is probably low due to losing not just games, top four, EFL cup but also Pochetinno.
McKenna using 4-2-3-1 as well, hopefully he brings in Ipswich LB or Chilwell stays fit and performs Great analysis, real potential for McKenna. |

BlueAngel444: the way some people here who claim to know football make comments it's amazing
Either they get too imotional or something. Why not consider why Kompany was even considered, why did Burnley fail in EPL, honestly Kompany spending 110m and still getting them relegated is a very very big RED flag but Bayern isn't Burnley and that's not EPL, he may go there and win the league. Did anyone here predict Xabi would win bundesliga this season. Xabi Alonso retaining his winning team means Leverkusen is winning the league again. |
