Thanks for sharing this news!! The latest update regarding the Indian Evisa is that the Indian Governement is now going to launch a new E visa for India with a validity of five years. There are some new updates regarding the E-services provided by the government. The e-FRRO registration services and other services related to the visa are extended by the government to four more areas namely Gurugram, Faridabad, Ghaziabad and Gautam Buddha Nagar. A new update was made for the Indian E visa. The E visa for India will now be used three times in a calendar year. The new announcement is effective 24th September 2019.
The e-FRRO extends:
The e-FRRO services can now is available for Gurugram, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, and Gautam Buddha Nagar. Earlier, the In-country registrations and Visa extensions for these areas were carried on offline, but with the extension of e-FRRO, these services can now be completed online for these areas.
The government is now planning to expand the service to all the major Foreign Registration Offices.
The three-time usability of the Indian E visa:
Irrespective of the type of E visa(Tourist E visa, Medical E visa or Business E visa), the E visa can be used three times in a given calendar year. Earlier, the limit to using the E visa to India was two times a year.
The Indian E visa provides a stay period of 60 days be it any of the types of the E visa. The E visa gives a privilege of multiple entries to India. The Tourist and the Business E visa, provide double entry to the visitors, while the Medical Evisa allows triple entry till the stay period completes.
The people who reside outside India and are planning to travel India should now go for the e-FRRO service rather than the regular FRRO for the above-mentioned areas. According to Indiae-visa, the extension of E-FRRO will be very beneficial for Indian Tourism.

Indian Tourism Ministry has made some announcements regarding the Tourist E visa to India. The Indian Tourism Minister Mr. Prahlad Singh Patel has said that a new Indian Tourist E visa with the validity for 5 years may be launched, and he also said that some relaxations may be provided in the existing E visa Norms and the E visa Charges. According to the news reports, the cost for the New 5 year E visa may be around 80$.

The announcements were made by him at the State Tourism Minister’s Conference in Delhi. Mr. Prahlad Singh Patel said that government is thinking of a 1 month Indian Tourist E visa priced around 25$ that initially proposed by the government to be launched for some countries. The countries involve Japan, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Mozambique, Russia, Ukraine, the UK and the US.

The Indian Tourist E visa allows staying for 90 days to foreigners of all countries except USA/UK/Japan as people from these countries are privileged for a stay period of 180 days.
