mustymatic:Amin my brother. |
truthmans2012:(1) In madinah after the battle of badr With the intention of killing him, the jews convoked a meeting with the prophet under the false pretence of seeking islamic knowledge. Banu al-Nadeer sent for him to come out to them with thirty of his companions, and said “We will send out thirty of our rabbis, to meet in such and such a place, halfway between us and you, so that they can listen to you. If they believe in you then we will all believe in you. ”Then they said : “How can we reach an understanding when there are sixty of us? Send out three of your companions and we will send out three of our scholars to listen to you. They were carrying concealed daggers and they wanted to kill the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). A sincere woman from among Banu al -Nadeer sent word to her nephew (her brother’s son) who was a Muslim man from among the Ansaar, and told him about that , and he told the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) went back, and the following day he brought his troops and besieged them, and the Jews of Banu al- Nadeer were expelled. (Sunan Abu Dawood 3004) (2) In madinah after the conquest of khaybar A jewish woman served him a poisoned mutton. Narrated by Anas: A jewish woman came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) with some poisoned mutton. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ate from it,then the leg of mutton spoke and informed the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that it was poisoned, so he stopped eating it.Then he asked her about that. She said, “I wanted to kill you.” He said, “Allah would not let you do that.” They said, “Shall we kill her?” He said, “No.” He said, I can still see the effect of that on the palate of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). (Al-Bukhaari, 2617 and Muslim, 2190) (3) When he went to Banu al-Nadr One of the failed assasination attempt that led to their expulsion. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) went to Banu al-Nadeer to ask them for help in paying the diyah of two men of ahl al-dhimmah who had been killed by mistake by ‘Amr ibn Umayyah al Dumari. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sat by a wall belonging to Banu al-Nadeer, and they plotted to throw a rock on him and kill him. The Revelation informed him of that and he rushed back to Madinah, then he issued orders that they should be besieged. (Ibn Ishaq) (4) In makkah when he was a child They even attempted to kill him as a child. Ibn sa'd narrated: when the mother of the Prophet (Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gave him to the Sa’di woman who breastfed him, she (prophet's mother) said to her (the wet nurse), “Keep him safe,” and she (prophet's mother) told her (the wet nurse) what she had seen. Halimah al -Sadiyyah (the wet nurse) passed by some Jews and said, “Will you not tell me about this son of mine? I conceived him in such and such a manner, and I gave birth to him in such and such a manner, and I saw such and such,” and she (the wet nurse) repeated what his mother had told her. They said to one another, “Kill him!” They asked her (the wet nurse), “Is he an orphan?” She said, “ No, this is his father and I am his mother.” They said, “ If he had been an orphan we would have killed him.” Halimah (the wet nurse) took him and said, “I nearly lost that which had been entrusted to me.” (Al -Tabaqaat) truthmans2012:First of all, we both quoted from the same source, from Ibn Ishaq’s Sirat Rasulallah [i.e. biography of Allah's messenger (Peace be upon him) by Ibn ishaq]. Secondly, the jews chose sa'd bin muadh as their arbiter and they agreed to accept his judgement. Below is an extract from Sirat Rasulullah by Ibn Ishaq: When the apostle of Allah had completed the Ditch, the Quraysh came and encamped at the confluence of the Ruma torrents. Their army consisted of 10,000 men, including their allies and followers; the Ghatafan, with their followers from Najd, also came and encamped in the direction of Uhud; and AND NEWS CAME THAT THE JEWISH TRIBE OF BANU QURAYZA HAD BROKEN THEIR TREATY WITH MUHAMMAD. So the apostle of Allah marched out with his Muslims, amounting to 3,000 men in all, and encamped so that Sal was behind him and the Ditch in front, separating him from the enemy. He had ordered thechildren and the women to be shut up in the forts. Safiya, the daughter of Abdul-Muttalib, was at the fort of Hassan, who had remainedto guard the women and children. She told how ‘A Jew approached and began to walk round the fort. Now, the BANU QURAYZA JEWS HAD BROKEN THEIR TREATY WITH THE APOSTLE OF ALLAH, AND THEIR FORT WAS TO THE REAR OF OURS. THERE WAS NO ONE TO PROTECT OUR SIDE OF THE CITY, AND THE APOSTLE OF ALLAH WAS OCCUPIED WITH THE INVADERS AND UNABLE TO COME TO OUR AID. In the morning the Qurayza came down from their fort to surrender to the apostle of Allah, and the Aus begged that – as the apostle had dealt leniently with allies of the Khazraj – he would do the same for the allies of the Aus. The apostle said, ‘WOULD YOU LIKE ONE OF YOUR OWN PEOPLE TO DECIDE THEIR FATE’ AND THEY WELCOMED IT. He continued, ‘Then let Sad b. Muadh decide.’ Sad had been struck by an arrow in the defence of the Ditch, so his people mounted him on a donkey – with a leather pillow under him, for he was a stout and handsome man – and brought him to the apostle. THEY TOLD HIM, ‘DEAL KINDLY WITH THY ALLIES, BECAUSE THE APOSTLE OF ALLAH HAS APPOINTED THEE FOR THIS PURPOSE.’ But they entreated him too much and he said, ‘Sad will take good care not to incur the censure of Allah by fearing the censure of men.’ Then some of his people went away and lamented for the men of the Banu Qurayza, before Sad even reached them, because Sad had spoken thus. When Sad appeared the apostle said to the Muslims, ‘Arise in honour of your chief!” Then Sad asked, ‘Do you covenant with Allah to abide by my decision?’ and they said, ‘We do!’ The apostle of Allah also replied, ‘Yes.’ And Sad pronounced the following sentence, ‘I DECREE THAT THE MEN BE KILLED, THE PROPERTY BE DIVIDED, AND THE WOMEN WITH THEIR CHILDREN BE MADE CAPTIVES. The apostle of Allah said, ‘Thou hast decided according to the will of Allah, above the seven firmaments.’ |

truthman2012:The prophet didn't sentence the jewish captives to death. The jewish captives chose one of their own, Sa'd bin Muadh, to decide their fate. Sa'd bin Muadh condemned the jewish soldiers to death and he ordered the muslims to take women and children as captives. Narrated by Abu Said: The people of (the tribe of) Quraiza agreed upon to accept the verdict of Sa'd bin Muadh. The Prophet sent for him (Sa'd bin Muadh) and he came. The Prophet said (to those people), "Get up for your chief or the best among you!" Sa'd sat beside the Prophet and the Prophet said (to him), "These people have agreed to accept your verdict." Sa'd said, "So I give my judgment that their warriors should be killed and their women and children should be taken as captives. " The Prophet said, "You have judged according to the King's (Allah's) judgment." (Sahih Bukhari, vol. 5, no..447) truthman2012:The jews didn't persecute him but they made several attempts to kill him. |
truthman2012:There is no consensus between muslim scholars concerning this. truthman2012:Because they neglected the rights of their Creator. Narrated by Mu'adh bin Jabal: The Prophet said, "O Mu'adh! Do you know what Allah's Right upon His slaves is?" I said, "Allah and His Apostle know best." The Prophet said, "To worship Him (Allah) Alone and to join none in worship with Him (Allah). Do you know what their right upon Him is?" I replied, "Allah and His Apostle know best." The Prophet said, "Not to punish them (if they do so)." (Sahih Bukhari bk. 97, #3) truthman2012:The disbelieving christians, jews and pagans will dwell in hell forever. Muslims with faith even if it weighed the same weight as the smallest ant will only dwell in hell temporarily. "The disbelievers among the People of the Book (christians and jews) and the pagans will dwell forever in hell; they are the worst of all creatures." (Quran 98:6) Culled from a lenghty hadith, "....Allah will say, ' Go and take out (of Hell) anyone in whose heart you find faith equal to the weight of one (gold) Dinar.' Allah will forbid the Fire to burn the faces of those sinners. They will go to them and find some of them in Hell (Fire) up to their feet, and some up to the middle of their legs. So they will take out those whom they will recognize and then they will return, and Allah will say (to them), 'Go and take out (of Hell) anyone in whose heart you find faith equal to the weight of one half Dinar.' They will take out whomever they will recognize and return, and then Allah will say, 'Go and take out (of Hell) anyone in whose heart you find faith equal to the weight of an atom (or a smallest ant), and so they will take out all those whom they will recognize." (Sahih Al Bukhari-Volume 009, Book 093) truthman2012:According to the scholars who held the first opinion, the heat will not affect righteous muslims. truthman2012:I can't say but its description is given in the hadith. Narrated by Abu Sa'id Al- Khudri: We, the companions of the Prophet said, "O Allah 's Apostle! What is the bridge?' He said, " It is a slippery (bridge) on which there are clamps and (Hooks like) a thorny seed that is wide at one side and narrow at the other and has thorns with bent ends. Such a thorny seed is found in Najd and is called As -Sa 'dan. Some of the believers will cross the bridge as quickly as the wink of an eye, some others as quick as lightning, a strong wind , fast horses or she-camels. So some will be safe without any harm; some will be safe after receiving some scratches, and some will fall down into Hell. The last person will cross by being dragged over the bridge. " (Sahih Bukhari - Volume 9 , Book 93 , Number 532) truthman2012:Extract from Tafsir Ibn Kathir (Quran 33:9) The Campaign of the Confederates (Al-Ahzab) ....The reason why the Confederates came was that a group of the leaders of the Jews of Banu Nadir, whom the Messenger of Allah had expelled from Al-Madinah to Khaybar, including Sallam bin Abu Al-Huqayq, Sallam bin Mishkam and Kinanah bin Ar-Rabi`, went to Makkah where they met with the leaders of Quraysh and incited them to make war against the Prophet . They promised that they would give them help and support, and Quraysh agreed to that. Then they went to the Ghatafan tribe with the same call, and they responded too. The Quraysh came out with their company of men from various tribes and their followers, under the leadership of Abu Sufyan Sakhr bin Harb.... truthman2012:I didn't come across it. Can you show me the hadith? |
truthman2012:There are two differences of opinion with respect to (Quran 19:71). The first opinion is that both muslims and non-muslims will be thrown in hellfire. The righteous muslims will be saved leaving the polytheists and wrongdoers in hell. The second opinion is that the righteous and those deserving punishment will cross over a bridge. Only those deserving punishment will fall off the bridge into hellfire. truthman2012:The pagans and the jews made a pact to exterminate the muslims in medinah. truthman2012:He never called for the execution of jews. |
