As for (Quran 8:39), fighting was ordained because the muslims were killed for refusing to renounce islam. (Quran 9:29) sanctions muslims to recover jizyah from non-muslims.

What commentaries do you need to interpret ",Quran 109:6] Unto you your religion, and unto me my religion?

Is that not simple and self - explanatory?

You quoted (Quran 8:39) and (Quran 9:29) out of context.

The above verse seems to give people freedom of religion

When allahh revealed that verse, the Jews and Christians must have felt relief from impending attacks by Muhammad's jihadists. But characteristic of allahh, it didn't take long before he swallowed his words and revealed the contrary. He said he didn't abrogate any of his revelations but was replacing them with better ones (Quran 2:106). I think the below are the better ones he came up with:

Quran (8:39) And fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief and polytheism: i.e. worshipping others besides Allah) and the religion (worship) will all be for Allah Alone [in the whole of the world ]. But if they cease (worshipping others besides Allah), then certainly, Allah is All-Seer of what they do.

Here allahh wanted only islam as the religion in the whole world after he had said people could practice the religion of their choice.

Quran (9:29) - "Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.

Allahh's problem here is religious and not financial (taxes). The statement "feel themselves subdued" shows it is a religious oppression.

Islam/Quran is the height of hypocrisy anyone can ever imagine.
