On a recent evening I had a rather extensive online exchange of opinion with Murad Jazy, a Pakistani intellectual whose first-rate social and political commentary I have come to value highly. One topic was the Russian-Israeli connection. It brought up points that rarely appear in print but which I feel are potentially of importance and deserving of a wider consideration.

My two talking points:
1) A large number of people occupying Palestine come from Russia. It’s said that Russian is the second most spoken language in the occupied territories after Hebrew. Isn't that odd? People from Russia, with many maintaining dual citizenship, occupy Palestine and the US protects that occupation?
2) It is inconceivable that the government of the Russian Federation is not aware of the illegitimate nature of the Zionist political entity's occupation of Palestine! In terms of realpolitik, doesn't it give the impression that Russia is working on attracting the global Zionist establishment? Even leaving aside its Christian and Muslim members, the Zionists can be seen as including Mossad, Blackrock, the Rothschild investment banking group, Alphabet Inc.'s Google & YouTube, the New York Times, Elon Musk's X, Starlink, Tesla, etc., etc., etc. Would It not be far-fetched to suggest that Russia's recent actions indicate a desire to synchronize Muslim, Christian, and Judaic Zionist-controlled financial power with an Eastern Slav Russian-led Global North instead of an Anglo-American-led Collective West?

I'm still trying to make sense of things on this one. At the same time that hints of a Russian desire to sideline Hamas are coming out, we have the appearance of possibly Russian made anti-aircraft weapons in use by the Palestinians in Gaza. I don't know if the weapons are a result of reverse engineering on the part of Palestinians or are coming from Russia through Russian intelligence agency smuggling networks. Also, there are reports of North Korean weapons being used by Palestinians. China is officially neutral, but in a way that favors Palestine and Russia depends heavily on China. On the other hand, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are supporting Israel in a big way with Turkey's help. And India seems to be passively pro-Zionist because Prime Minister Modi's government is anti-Muslim and so is Israel. Turkey, on the other hand, is also preventing British warships from entering the Black Sea which is to Russia's benefit. And, BRICS now not only includes the UAE and Saudi Arabia, two pro-Zionist Muslim States, but also an actively anti-Zionist Iran and a very nervous Egypt. I see no above the surface movement by Russia in this situation. Likewise, I don't think that there is enough under-the-surface evidence yet to suggest that Russian policy is being motivated by a desire to be on the good side of the still pro-Zionist Judaic, Christian, and Muslim financial elites. As for Russian-speaking Israelis, I don't know what percentage have kept dual national citizenship. For those that have, in the very worst case, there is a Jewish Autonomous Region that still exists in eastern Siberia on the Chinese border where they can find refuge in a political entity that is larger than Israel itself. It was founded by Stalin and, even now, is the home of a small number of people who identify as being Judaic. Anyway, i think it's hard to say what the Kremlin really is actually thinking at the moment, and I think they must be finding it hard to figure out what positions they should take. I would prefer to wait a bit longer before passing judgment. And, I would think that the Russian government might be wishing for a little more time, too.[/b]
