1. Your appointment was meant to be rescheduled on the old platform but you missed it without notification to the embassy. Had it been that you were able to reschedule, you will now be having an old appointment which is qualified to be migrated into the new website (AVITS).But you missed the old appointment reschedule instruction , which means ABSENT or YOU ARE NOT INTERESTED.
2. It seems that person who reviewed your ticket was right.
🙏
Good afternoon Boss, Does this means after the card payment, I can proceed immediately to booking an appointment date on the AVITS website without the drop off and pick up with OIS? Thank you.
ultraken: I don't remember seeing the "BOOK POST APPOINTMENT", it might have been there, but I didn't take not of it. But I did see the "slot already used" when I selected "Fake" dates. I'd say take note of the fake dates and check periodically, if any new dates show up, try clicking on them, because they're most likely real dates. Good luck!
Hi. Please just checking, how soon can I get to see appointment date for US interview in Abuja, Nigeria. Asking for someone. Thanks.
Good evening House, Asking for someone. Please if I want to book an appointment for US interview in Abuja Nigeria under the new AVITS system, how soon can I get an appointment date? Thank you. It is a first time travel to the USA
Akwamkpuruamu: What else is fuel scarcity, if you can queue for two to three hours before getting fuel at any NNPCL retail outlet? Or you end up in black markets disguised as exorbitant 1400/1500 fuel station sellers?
Nairaland MODs, I think you guys need to do more by blocking off illogical comments like these? Can you imagine a sane Nigerian to type this? Because comments like this is definitely provocative
Kobojunkieee: Hijacking ke? They helped him build it so surely they are part owners. Una don check list of shareholders for that company? Something tells me you will find the names of a lot of Nigerian politicians on there.
NNPC has 7.2% stake. Before you can control or organization, you must be highest shareholder and obviously that role isn’t for the FG of Nigeria.
Can’t they just focus on their own 4 refineries and make it work?!
Do you think that NNPC becoming the sole buyer of Dangote's petrol is an economic sabotage move against Nigerians? Should Dangote Refinery be responsible for selling its petrol products directly to whoever is interested?
I have a strong opinion that it is high time the Nigerian Labour Congress called for another industrial action. The NNPC of Nigeria has decided to be the sole buyer of the refined petrol from Dangote refinery giving the organization the monopolistic power to control the price as they wish, leading to more financial hardship for the ordinary citizens.
Religious leaders have also come out to say the economic problem of the country is spiritual, but this is not valid. Should the Nigerian Labour Congress once again call for a nationwide industrial action?
Realdeals: I think NNPC is the sole buyer for now because government is more or less subsidizing the crude supply to the Dangote refinery via the Naira for crude arrangements.
With the envisaged appreciation of the Naira against the USD, and coming on stream of NNPC refineries, they will quit as the sole buyer.
No, that's an unacceptable excuse. Why can't the FG ix their own 4 refineries! Why wait for Dangote! Isn't that hijacking?
Kobojunkieee: The other day it was announced that NNPC has a debt into the billions it needs to resolve. How else is it going to do it if it allows Dangote to sell directly denying NNPC the opportunity to tax the people so as to resolve the debt? I hear it is in the amount of $6 billion dollars. After all the many lies?
You sef Dey see am? And before that, they said rain, storm, rusted pipeline, bad road and all sorts were the reason they couldn’t supply fuel.
victorDanladi: So that you can start shouting Tinubu again when the force of demand and supply push it to 2000 naira per litre.
No reasonable government to should leave important commodities that have direct impact on other sectors of the economy to the forces of demand and supply.
That is where Tinubu erred in the issue of naira floating
No! Why is Tinubu and the NNPC jumping on Dangote’s products! What happened to their own 4 refineries?!
Anither563: The NNPC is not buying out Dangote's petrol. This is a huge misunderstanding of the market dynamics and the role of NNPC. The NNPC will only buy from Dangote and sell to the marketers, that's the essence of the petroleum subsidy removal.
Why is the NNPC involved with Dangote? Why can't they fix their own 4 refineries and let demand and supply determine how much Dangote sells?
Georgry: Don't be stupid, Tinubu said he removed fuel subsidy which means the price should be determined by the force of demand and supply, what business does NNPC has with that? They are only doing that because Subsidy is really back, the landing cost of petrol is over 1000 so they'd buy at 1000 and sell to suppliers at below 600 which means for every 1 litre of fuel you're using in Nigeria Government are subsidising it with at least 400 while maintaining the lies that subsidy is gone!
Thank you. But Nigerians' endurance for suffering needs to be studied!
Flangelo12: You have still not said why it is a bad idea.
You are only writing emotions.
Tell us why it is a bad idea.
Okay, the reason is that when NNPC becomes the sole buyer of petrol from Dangote, then NNPC instead of demand and supply would determine the price of the commodity, which in-turn undermines the presence of the world's 6th largest refinery in a country with the 10th largest oil and gas reserve.
Now, you tell me why it is not a bad idea. Your turn.
Nigeria has the 10th largest oil and gas reserve in the world, and the 6th largest private refinery while the state government also have 4 refineries across the country, why should the government be paying subsidies when all the products are local?
Flangelo12: You haven't said why it is a bad idea.
It is a bad idea because with Nigeria having the 10th largest oil and gas reserve in the world, the country should not be suffering! Have you listened to the people? Would they prefer to buy the petrol at 350/litre or at 1000/litre?
One of the major differences in societies in Africa and The West is that the people in the latter always hold their government responsible, and whenever their government enacts a law that will bring hardship to them, the people will collectively come together and demand a change. Currently, the Israelis are demanding that their government cut a deal with Palestine, bring home the hostages and end the war - this has resulted into a general strike in the country.
When I stumbled on the news yesterday that the Nigerian National Petroleum Company will be the sole buyer of the Dangote refinery product and then later resell to independent marketers, I realized that the Nigerian populace are not ready to change their realities. The leaders of Nigeria are visibly hell-bent on making life less enjoyable or their citizens.
Petrol as we most foundly call it in Nigeria is arguably the singular product that has an instant knock-down or push-up effect on every other commodity in Nigeria. And while Dangote was constructing its 650,000 refinery capacity, scores of millions of Nigeria were looking forward to a lowered price of petrol since the initial reason for the high price was that it was imported and bought in US Dollars and understanding that Dangote refinery is Nigerian and would not need the US Dollars, we expected a price drop. However, with the NNPC stepping in to become the sole buyer of Dangote petrol product, it is obvious that having the sixth largest petrol refinery in the world inside Nigeria will not make the price of the commodity to be cheaper.
Do you think that NNPC becoming the sole buyer of Dangote's petrol is an economic sabotage move against Nigerians? Should Dangote Refinery be responsible for selling its petrol products directly to whoever is interested?
(Voice of Paul) - While in high school, I learned an Economics law of Comparative Cost Advantage which translates to doubling-down on your strength and outsourcing your weakness. Fast-forward to 2013, I applied that law. I wrote JAMB examination again even though I was working 40 hours a week. And surprisingly, I got 331 out the 400 JAMB score which was commendable. I have viewed the economic situation of Nigeria in this lens and all I can say is that the country has the power to dominate the globe economically.
Given the vast landmass of arable lands in Nigeria combined with favourable weather, nothing stops Nigeria from being at the top 10 economies of the World. But in reality, tens of millions of Nigerians cannot boast of being at the bottom level of Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of Human Needs.
I made a visual explanation on how the country can harness its enormous resources and lift her people out of poverty. Engage me in the comments and let me know your opinion.
Akwamkpuruamu: Laugh wan kill me, Nigeria was never meant to be a country in the first place. You don't lump people with zero connection together to form a country. It has never worked and can never work
Listen, you are absolutely right. If you have an idea of what if feels like to be rejected by strangers and hated by your own people at the same time. How is it possible that we complain about institutionalized racism but in our own country, our government is corrupt that they only enrich themselves?! Like how do we change these narrative?
Parable007: When you vote a man that is bigger than the system and the constitution. Na the CJN or Apkabio that became sen. President but didn't win primaries that want to checkmate him? Most of the people working for and with Tinubu don't like him. They have at one time or the other insulted him but because they feed from his table they dance to his music. Na them won arrest am? Even if Tinubu does something wrong today and you know about it and exposes him na you go go jail.
You are absolutely right, 100% but we can't give up on our country. It is a shame that the diversity in Nigeria is being used against us.
