I do hope that would not be the response if the child would have required urgent medical attention or if the opposite was the case.

& @ poster: if you start talking to the maid and your wife feels she is so vexed, the maid can actually JUST GO!! case closed.

Personally i think its a matter of choice. i have never been forced to turn off my fones at any bank. yes they will ask you to turn it off but i dont.

i also make sure not to pick up any call or at worst i go to the security/customer care and inform them i MUST/HAVE TO pick up/make an important call and i do it in their presence.
