delishpot:True talk ..... |
The Nigeria music scene can be termed a battle ground, meant for only the tough and strong, with new artistes waiting, watching each day for a sign of weakness from the "Champions" of the industry. Waiting for a chance to take over. Very few artistes have been able to capture the hearts of Nigerians, producing Hit tracks back to back while maintaining the spotlight. From Style-plus to sky B to Soul- E... Nigerians have gotten tired seeing a new artiste rise from obscurity with a hit track and then Fading away at the release of the second one. Some artists have even resorted to faking their deaths just to maintain the spotlight. (Skibii). Then like a breath of Fresh air to a Suffocating Man.Patoranking came With the Hit track "Alubarika", his Unique voice and eccentric "Patua" Style, thrilled the audience. He churned hits after hits to the delight of Nigerians even featuring Tiwa Savage on the track "Girlie-O". Shortly after, a female artiste by the name Cynthia Morgan came up with the intent of upstaging the Icon. Sure, she's a star in her own way with her eccentric red hair and excessive show of skin, but the German juice cronner was never a threat to Patoranking, she just was..another Artiste. Now there is a threat to his Empire with the name Carls Cavalli. The next big artiste who has slowly and steadily worked his way from the bottom, Scribbling till late into the night to make sure his lyrics capture the heart of the people. Spending hours on End at the studio, recording sessions after Sessions to deliver Party tracks with dope beats that keep the youths grinding at the dancefloor. Carls Cavalli won the EBSU rap idol Competitition and got signed by TRIPPLE SOUND ENTERTAINMENT a label known for signing only the best. And now with the release of his new maiden track it seems that the "Girlie-O" Cronner has something to worry about. Nigeria is about to Witness a new star and He's here to Stay.
