The federal government has come under criticism from
Stephen Femi Keshi, late Stephen Keshi’s son.
Stephen Keshi junior accused the federal government of failing to keep their promise of sponsoring his father’s burial even after his dad “served the country with so much passion “.
The federal government also came under attack from Hon.
Onyemaechi Mrakpor . The honourable representing Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency said, “From the atmosphere in this hall, it is clear that we are not proud of the role Keshi played in this country. Looking at the young ones, we can imagine what is going on in their minds, that there is no reward for excellence in this nation, so what is the future of our youths? ”
The attending crowd was seen to be in agreement with her view as her statement was well applauded.
Other notable attendees of the event were Delta State Deputy Governor, Barr. Kingsley Otuaro , Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Monday Igbuya and Executive Chairman, Delta State Sports Commission, Tony Okowa.
Some members of the USA 94 World Cup team were also present. Former super eagles coach Austin Eguavon, Uche Okechukwu , Mutiu Adepoju , Aloy Agu and Peter Rufai paid tribute to their former teammate.
Former U-21 coach, Fani Amun, Friday Ekpo and Edema Fuludu were also present.
Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) president Amaju Pinnick was also present.
He was said to have been booed while leaving the venue of the burial.

A motorcycle rider identified as Daniel, died in a horrific manner after his motorcycle collided with a truck along Keffi road in Nasarawa state yesterday July 19th. Daniel was said to be taking his mother to the hospital when the accident happened. His remains has been deposited at the morgue. Very graphic photo after the cut…

The prominent Nigerian music producer, made the day of these 8 young and elated fans who came from all parts of the country.

Officials of Federal Road Safety Corps have cleared the wreckage of the tanker that exploded in an accident that occurred on Tuesday at the Kara-Ibafo, KM21 of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. A tanker said to belong to Total Oil Nigeria Plc was heading to Oyo state when it collided with a large sized stone on the expressway and skidded off its track.


Five vehicles including the fuel tanker were caught up in the explosion which followed when a driver of a commercial bus wanted to negotiate its way through the ensuing gridlock. The silencer of the bus was said to have sparked a fire and it spread to the spilled fuel, causing an explosion. Scores of motorists and commuters fortunately escaped death but others including those scooping fuel that spilled were injured from the blast.

According to eyewitness Igbinedion Sammy, this happened this morning at 22 road, Festac, Lagos. The robber (pictured) robbed a motorist, immediately got on his bike and zoomed off. The victim gave him a chase with his car and was successfully able to knock him down.
The shocked thief had a deep bloody cut on his head and when he noticed a crowd gathering, he pleaded for people to call police in order to avoid jungle justice.

A 20-year-old Nigerian man has been found guilty of murdering a teenage boy in north London. Uchechukwu Ejimonye, of Roth Walk, N7 was yesterday, Wednesday, 22 June found guilty at the Old Bailey in connection with the death of 17-year-old Vasilaki Kakko in Holloway. He will be sentenced today Thursday, 23 June.
Detective Inspector Mick Norman, from the Met’s Homicide and Major Crime Command, said:

“What started as an evening out with friends quickly escalated into a moment of extreme violence. Whilst it is unclear what led Ejimonye to fatally stab Vasso, it is obvious to most people that there is never any excuse to take someone else’s life…”
On 23 November 2015, police were called at approximately 20:50hrs to reports that a man had been stabbed on Yoke Close, close to North Road, N7.
The London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance also attended and Vasilaki – known as Vasso to family and friends – who was from Newington Green was pronounced dead at the scene at 21:22hrs.
A post-mortem examination held at Whittington Hospital Mortuary on 25 November 2015 gave cause of death as a stab wound to the neck.
Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command launched an investigation and quickly established that Vasso had been socialising with a small group of acquaintances in a small public square. Without explanation, one of these men produced a knife and stabbed him in the neck before running away.
The man was later identified as Ejimonye. He was traced by officers to the Bognor Regis area where he was arrested with the assistance of colleagues from Sussex Police on 30 November 2015. He was transferred to London and charged the following day.

Police arrested two men who specialize in defrauding car dealers in Lagos by issuing fake bank cheques and fake bank alerts.
The suspects were nabbed on Tuesday, June 21, when one of their victims raised the alarm when he discovered that an alert he got for the payment of the vehicle sold to the suspects was fake.
Prior to their arrest yesterday, the suspects, who claimed they were sent by their boss, had succeeded twice in issuing fake bank alerts and stealing cars from dealers at car marts.
The victim identified as Ifeanyi became suspicious of the transaction after he allegedly received bank transaction alert for the payment of the vehicle. His suspicion paid off after his assistant, who was sent to the bank to confirm the payment, informed him that the said transaction did not reflect in their bank account.
Another car dealer, who spoke in confidence, said yesterday was not the first time criminals were using fake bank alerts to purchase vehicles from the park and getting away with it.
“God has exposed them today.” he said. “The last time it happened, the bank server was down so they just allowed them to go. Later we found out that it was a fake alert.”
The suspects, who were almost lynched by the dealers, confessed to have succeeded with two vehicles sometime ago from the same New Way Park Berger, through same fraudulent method.
They were later taken to the police station. Lagos State Police spokesperson, SP Dolapo Badmos, said the case was not reported at Kirikiri Police Division.
