Nigeria and international ace singer Dayo, popularly known as Wizkid has come out in an interview with 360jamng C.E.O, Ikeri Darlington to say that the veteran American rapper Drake pleaded to him to get him featured on his track “One Dance”.
One Dance officially made Wizkid the first Nigerian and African singer to stay for 7 straight days on the number 1 spot at the iTunes Worldwide chart, he said:

I was in Nigeria when he asked me to voice on his one dance song, I felt really reluctant, because I wasn’t ready! But he begged me! And I had no other choice.
Some of my fans hated my verse! I understand, it was really not like an official verse, but it was!
Then he posted my picture without my consent, he of course loved me!
So sorry to my fans for the verse! I just wanted to satisfy Drizzy!

Watford coach Quique Flores has revealed that Nigeria international Odion Ighalo has asked to play for Watford in this weekend’s fixture against Aston Villa as a mark of respect/tribute to his late dad.

A statement by the Acting Director Army Public Relations, Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman:
Troops have intensified efforts to clear the remnants of Boko Haram terrorists in various parts of the north east through various military operations on daily basis. It is in line with this that troops of 7 Division Strike Group Team B attached to 22 Brigade embarked on combination of foot and mobile fighting patrols on daily basis to deny the Boko Haram terrorists freedom of action in their area of operations.
Yesterday Thursday, 28th April 2016, they embarked on such efforts in the general area of Bogoro, Duguno 1, Duguno 2 and 3. However, on reaching Mbaraka, they encountered some elements of the Boko Haram terrorists who engaged the patrol team in a gun battle.
The troops rose to the occasion and successfully cleared the terrorists and proceeded to Jadda village which was suspected to be strong hold of the Boko Haram terrorists. As rightly believed, a large number of them were discovered to have the terrorists group’s flags hoisted in their domains.
The troops engaged the Boko Haram terrorists and killed 4 of them. The patrol team also made another startling discovery, a big pit where the Boko Haram terrorists used for dumping bodies of hapless victims of their nefarious activities to decompose.

It was also discovered that the terrorists held lots of people as hostage in Jadda. The fighting patrol team also succeeded in freeing those held hostage and recovered an AK-47 rifle with registration number OF-4814, 30 rounds of 7.62mm (Special) ammunition, 12 rounds of 7.62mm (NATO) ammunition, 14 Dane Guns, 1 motorcycle, 2 Solar panels and food storage facility. Other items include 120 litres of AGO and packs of Panadol.
Sadly, one of our soldiers suffered gunshot wound and was evacuated for further medical treatment. We are glad to state that he is in stable condition and responding to treatment.

Two Nigerian men who duped the secretary of a serving Bombay High Court judge of Rs 2.2 lakh by befriending her on Facebook and eventually threatening her with ‘a judicial enquiry’, after she refused to make more payment were arrested by the cyber police station from New Delhi, India on Friday, April 22.
The Nigerian men identified as Casmir Chijioke and Oliver Onyeka befriended the woman with one of them pretending to be a UK national. According to the BKC cyber police, the complainant, who approached them on April 6, told them that a few months ago, she received a friend request on Facebook from a British national. She accepted the request and the two started chatting online, said an officer.
The man claimed to be from a well-to-do family and the duo started chatting frequently. Over a period of time, they became good friends and would chat almost daily, an officer said. One day, the man claimed to have been admitted to a hospital due to an ailment. The victim was very upset over this and communicated this to him. He then told her he was sending her a gift from the UK, as he himself could not come to India due to the ailment, an officer said.
A few days after this conversation, the woman received a call from the ‘Delhi customs’, stating there was a gift being parceled to her place and she would need to pay some ‘handling fee’. An officer disclosed that she paid the amount but over the next few weeks, she kept receiving demands for more money under various pretexts to ‘facilitate the transportation of the gift’. She then became suspicious and refused to pay the ‘customs official’ anymore.
“At this point, the callers, who knew she worked as a secretary to a judge, threatened her that if she did not make the payment, they would approach the judiciary and a ‘judicial enquiry’ would be initiated against her,” the officer said.
She quickly made another payment out of fear before approaching the cyber police station on April 6,’ A team led by inspector Ravi Sardesai began probe in the matter and based on technical intelligence, found that the “British” national was actually chatting from New Delhi. A team from the BKC cyber police station camped in Delhi for a few days before they managed to arrest Casmir Chitioke and Oliver Onyeka.
DCP (cyber) C S Rajkumar said,
“The duo was produced before a court in Delhi and granted a transit remand to be brought to the city.” An officer said that there is a possibility the two suspects have cheated more people using the same modus operandi. “Once we check the laptop of the accused, we will be able to find out if they targeted more victims,” he said.

The Permanent Secretary of the Osun State Ministry of Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, Adebimpe Ogunlumade was kidnapped by gunmenn while returning to Osogbo from Abuja today April 22nd. According to a statement released by the state’s Head of Service, Sunday Olayinka Owoeye, Ogunlumade was kidnapped along with her driver, Oladapo Arogundade Ajani and a Director from the ministry, Tajudeen Badejoko.
They were kidnapped at gunpoint at Obajana along Lokoja-Okene road in Kogi state. The state Auditor General who also traveled with the officials escaped the scene of the kidnap.
“The officials were returning from Abuja where they attended the briefing on the State and Local Government Reforms Project; a World Bank and European Union Programme,” the head of service statement read in part. The Osun State Police Command Public Relations officer, Folasade Odoro, confirmed the incident and said efforts were being made to rescue those kidnapped.

For sometime now, there has been a lot of unwarranted debate about who truly is the queen of music in the Nigerian music industry? Several names cropped up with one or two unforgiving and downright rude reason having them being plucked off until the list finally became so light there were two left. Now for me, for years now, I had absolutely no doubt who is queen and would for a long while sit and laugh when people start the argument, not because I did not love this person so much to want to fight for her, but because, it was mere waste of valuable time to argue with people who knew little or nothing about MUSIC and were just color and stupidity blinded by one hit song of the contender. Many things, yes, are debatable in life, but I dare say, Tiwa Savage’s Star power, is not one of them. So guys, here are five reason why Tiwa Savage Is QUEEN and Will forever be hailed as one.
