The attention of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), Nigeria �� has been drawn to posts by scammers on this platform claiming that they can ‘upgrade’ results of candidates.

For the avoidance of doubt, there is no WAEC staff with such a name(s). Those scammers are not staff of the Council and there is no such thing as upgrading of results.

We concede that they can concoct a result for the candidates but it will not correspond with what is on our data base. This is the reason a lot of gullible Nigerians that fell for their scam have been rejected at Embassies; some have lost their admissions while many have been sacked from their jobs.

We have published several disclaimers on the alleged “upgrade of results”. This is a scam. Please, don’t fall victim.

The general public is therefore, advised to disregard the posts and online social media platforms will be fulfilling their patriotic duties when posts like this are disallowed on their platforms.
