Yes, it's true people change especially their skin after they get more comfortable financially but it will only glow and be more attractive not that you will transform to light skin fork dark skin.

Anyways, there's nothing you can do other than focus on your wife and find a way to find her more appealing to you sexually. Also, talk to her about her skin. There are many skin care product she can use to make her skin better rather than bleaching and exposing herself to health risks.
