HopeAtHand: Allow me to define infrastructure for you.
infrastructure /ˈɪnfrəstrʌktʃə/
the basic physical and organizational structures and facilities (e.g. buildings, roads, power supplies) needed for the operation of a society or enterprise.
There are social and economic infrastructures.
Rivers has 2 of Nigeria's 4 Refineries. Rivers has 2 Seaports, 2 Airports, Nigeria's only LNG facilities. Rivers host Nigeria only petrochemical plant. Rivers host a plethora of oil and gas companies. These are economic infrastructures found nowhere in Ogun, Oyo and Lagos. Riverians aren't disposed to bragging, but Ogun and Oyo does not have Rivers money. We are not on same level. Keep your dragging ability for those from Anambra that have guys time. At least the IGR does not lie. oga u dey fall my hand. I can never compare rivers with ibadan, but don't thier to compare it with Lagos. Most of the things u mentioned above are here in the West.

Where are the jobs in Nigeria presently, even in Lagos? At least we Igbos have a fall back position which is business! major numbers of u guys are traders. Displaying goods in a shop doesn't mean ,u are richer than peoples holding cooperate office. My inlaw have five shops at ladipo mushin, importing leather materials from china.but financially, he can't compete with my boss operating his office on 2beds apartment in yaba area. |

Economics wise, s.w are far better ....many Nigerian are investing in all s.w state not only Lagos , even your people are doing the same here.bxus s.w is viable and condusive to so business. majority numbers of your governor's have more investments in West than your east, last month cbn announced that, out of 100% manufacturers seeking for forex, 82% are located in Western nigeria. all these make justification to all I stated above about the East .Many of the easterners came here as a migrant , even before amagalmation of Nigeria. |

Canada is better than Nigeria yet we have Canadians here
China is better than NIGERIA yet wwe have Nigerians here
Igbo land is great yet we have time at Iwo road
Economics expansion You lot are really comparing yourselves with the Chinese, lmao. First, China has 1.3 fuccking billion people thus seeing there everywhere is completely normal and logical, are u people even up to 40 million? Besides, Chinese are not known for opening shops at every corner or pushing wheelbarrows everywhere, most Chinese folks in Nigeria recently came for construction projects, they come with heavy money for investment like the 1.5 billion dollars Lagos ibadan sgr, how much do you guys bring to other region when you come if not just nylon bags? Y'll should stop your silly comparison to the Chinese. You have never built a kilometer of road in the regions u migrated to before, while chines build railroads, airports, seaports etc yet you have the audacity to to make such silly comparison. .... Oga obos are migrants not an investors. Your forefathers came with a lylon bags to s.w for greener pastures... Chinese came to s.w with dollars to invest here. Alots of your people are learning handwork including trading cus your besty are here in s.w . No job in your region . Deficit infrastructure litres your domain.... |

BastardWike: Ignorance has really finished you all in the SW. I have seen lots of Filipinos hawking phones and perfumes in the streets of Nigeria, does it now mean that Nigeria is more beautiful or developed than Philippines? I have seen lots of Indians selling or doing jobs in Nigeria same as the Chinese and Lebanese, does it now mean that Nigeria is more developed or beautiful than China, India or Lebanon?
If you're educated, you will know that there are different reasons why people migrate and one of such reasons could be to have comparative advantage or to face less competition. Igbos coming to the SW are mostly people coming to do business same way you see them in remote Northern villages or even as far as Mali. It doesn't mean that those places are more developed than Igboland, their primary motivation for going there isn't to go and enjoy amenities but to provide certain services they believe they have comparative advantage on and earn from it. The only reason why Yorubas are not in large numbers in the East is simply because they have no comparative advantage that would make them to thrive there. That is why you see lots of Yoruba women and girls loitering all over our roads, streets and motor parks selling that concotion you call agbo. You also see your men ridiculously going about aimlessly with plastic bottles trying to scam people in the name of selling herbs to them. Here in Owerri, an average 3 bedroom flat is 500,000 while in Oshogbo it is way cheaper and there are lots of mud houses where your people can live and pay next to nothing. These are the factors that force your people to remain in their villages while your villages and towns remain stagnated. Have you asked yourself why there is very little or no changes at all in your towns and villages while Igbo towns and villages keep developing over the years?
Lastly, I can see that you all are pained to your bone marrow that Igbos are everywhere, including remote places collecting your "widow's might" through business while you can't stop them. Your frustration is just starting, because as long as Nigeria remains one country, we Igbos will continue to match into every town or village in our numbers regardless of your sentiments while you continue to cry and gnash your teeth.
Primitive and uneducated people who claim to be sophisticated, do you know how stupid and foolish it sounds to ask a native Michigan man why he is going to New Jersey to do business or a Portsmouth man why he is going to live in Liverpool instead of remaining in his own region of birth. Would you ask a Kwazulu Natal man why he is going to Cape Town to do business when he is not a native?
Cry us a river but Igbos will continue going wherever they want within the borders of this country and AND YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT!! ibos are migrant in our land they came for greener pastures. ..... I have Igbo friend and also as a inlaw from imo state. Okoro family... I know many things about ibo. From the information I got last week from my inlaw who happens to be from imo said, no job in imo state ,that's why many of Igbo graduates are troopin to Lagos. Oga small small dey lie oooo. |

Jashub: Take away the seaport and Lagos will crumble. You know this but continue to live in denial. Come to think of it, are the Igbos not the ones bringing in their goods from overseas? Is the tax generated from levies impose on them not responsible for the bulk of the revenue generated by Lagos? Mtchww. Talk with sense abeg fucking liar. Who gave them forex to get dollars ?oil major manufacturers are responsible for 50% , oil major marketers and farmers for 30% while the remaining 20% goes to petty importers like car spare parts. And for ur in formation, it's the fed govt in charge off import duty levies not state. ... Notice, if percentage of Igbos stop to import, other tribes we take up the space... |
