The Japanese were two goals up. A more tactically gifted side would have locked it down to frustrate the Belgians and probably ,hit them on a counter. No-they didn't. Wanted more goals. They got carried away by the feeling of "we will punish these Europeans tonight"

A 'big team' will always have challenges. The ingenuity they bring to the table gives them the edge. With due respect to the Japanese,the Belgians were better tactically.

Definitely. However football matches are like biscuits. You wouldn't know how the pattern of the crack could be. Japan put up a good fight but the Belgians got their groove back through relentless hardwork.
