@ALL,i ws on fone yesternight wit an official of OAU computer section(d comptrollers of d eportal).we talked for 10 mins.i was opportuned 2 forward our grievances, upon which our discussion was based,and wit adequate enunciation on som puzzling issues concerning our registratn details,which i wl summarize below.abt d CONFIRMATION OF PAYMENT,it is simply NETWORKING DEFECTS majorly 4rm Skye bank.he said dat protocol demands dat each bank sends d Students' payment Notification to a link known to dem(in d computer section),afterwhich,dey wil now update it in d students' account on d Eportal.dis implies dat d banks av no direct access to our portal in crediting our account,xcept tru OAU COMPUTER UNIT.he said further dat Intercontinental banks av bin more efficient in alerting dem on time,while, Zenith banks ar most efficient;alerting dem even barely 3hours after payment.so,dose paying thru dose nifty banks mite get dr account confirmed earlier dan Skye banks.albeit,we shudnt blame d banks for dr shortcomings since d method adopted n ds yr's admissn (N.B.scratch card paying method av bin used in past years)is stil NEW,in which dey ar tryin 2 adapt.howeva,for dose dat av paid,no cause 4 alarm,xcept 4 a slight delay;kip on checking.concernin ACCOMODATION FILM-TRICK,it's just a miscalculation.wat dey ar tryin 2 do is make up d bed space (4 freshers)on time,and upon our arrival on Jan17.so,it wil b resolved soon;kip checking.On d ENIGMATIC 'PICTURE NO'.he said,dat is irrelevant 4 now.afterwhich we'v bin screened,we shal b summoned in dr section(probably he meant d ICT),dey shal take down our passport,and give it a number each,and thru which,d individual wl use 2 load dr picture,inorder 2 print out d printables.abt d wrangling news on FEE SLASHING,dont even tink abt it! Dese are all 4 now,i hope it allays our resentments,time being.GREAT IFE!!!

You can now pay your acceptance fees of N20,000 into any branch of skye bank nationwide with the acct nos below. Acct Name: Oau Acceptance Fees. Acct Number: 1971790000453. You are also required to pay a commission of N250 into the acct nos below. Acct Name: Commission. Acct Nos: 1971790000039. Pls make sure u use different tellers 4 both payments and make sure your name and reg nos is indicated in the tellers. A lot of people have started paying their fees, especially at the skye bank branch in Ife. The Cards 4 accommodation and main fees would be available next week. You may have to read over this post again. I believe u made a little mistake in typing it. U typed may/june 2008 twice. I did not get what the problem really is. Pls be more categorical this time.

Perhaps. That is the format i used during my time. It is still there in my page. If it worked last year, why wouldn't it now, since the same procedure is still effective?

I don't think u seem 2 understand my plight, d problem i hav now is with d mm/yyy: dat's d month and year i obtained my waec which shud be may/june 2008, but on d bio-data stuff d entry stops at may/june 2008, PaiX

I sincerely wonder why I have not seen no posts from admitted Law students. Does that mean that no Nairalander made the merit cut off for Law not that its surprising coz its the highest for all depts(275). No doubt, u all must have seen the many benefits attached to being a member of this site,most especially this thread.its provin to be a long thread though i doubt that it will compete with that of last year in terms of length which saw a record 80+ pages, many thanks to the timely and beneficial comments from the likes of muyeskin,johnpaul,oebos09 and many more altruistic dudes and chics(won't fail to count myself among)who sacrificed a lot by always keeping their ears to d ground so that info can be quickly accessed and passed to all and sundry. These dudes stood still the very end. M not surprised to see that sum of them are back to obviate wateva problems that might be experienced by the incoming guys.



M saying all these to emphasize the need for consistency on the part of everybody who has chosen to be a member of this thread whether admitted or not, don’t leave this thread because uv been admitted. u will be doing a lot of harm coz those that are not yet admitted need your support most especially @ this time coz they are abt to be subjected to the excruciating wait that is characteristic of OAU’s subsequent lists and for those that are worried that they've not seen their name yet, me thinks its to early to worry abt that coz admission stretches till the eve of matric(u still have 3 to 4 months to pray and hope).

For those havin difficulties with registration, patience is all u need. I’ll also advise that u try to purchase your cards on campus so that u don’t fall victim to fraudsters. If u wait till I get on campus, U’ll have more than enough time for your registration. I advise patience and caution not sloth. If u adopt a lackadaisical approach to your reg, u’l regret it. I carelessly neglected to register for my health centre quickly. When I was ready for it, the xray machine “mysteriously” developed that could not be repaired till the end of the session! Now I am compelled to pay an inordinate amount of N2500.00 before my registration can be completed otherwise I wont be treated even if I were @ the point of death.

If u need additional info, DO NOT HESITATE TO CONTACT ME. M always willing to help. Started this with Johnpaul and the likes and I’m not ready to pull out now AND REMEMBER, ALWAYS KEEP your EARS TO THE GROUND COZ NO INFO IS TOO INCONSEQUENTIAL. Cheers!!!

D reason is dat l/g studies is believed 2 be studied by sponsored civil servants 4rm local govt. therefore their fees is usually high, note d fee is not only high in ife likewise in order skools. PaiX

PAYMENT OF FEES

1) FRESH STUDENTS are required to pay a non-refundable ACCEPTANCE FEE of #20,000.00 to a designated Account Number obtainable at the counter at any of the branches of SKYE BANK PLC. This payment will grant Fresh Students access to Registration.

Yeah u're very correct, i think dat skool fees is d departmental and faculty charges but before paying dat u hav 2 pay ur acceptance fees firstly, den other fees can be paid. PaiX
