In the environment of today, we are exposed to lots of chemicals including hydrocarbons... And this has serious effect on on... But i believe nlng is a standardized company with safety policies which guides the activities, process, procedures, methodology of carrying out workplace activities..
Including this one.
I believe they should have OEL (occupational exposure limit) and some call it thresold value.. Its gives the maximun value of chemicals and other harmful substance that a worker can be exposed to and duration of exposure...

Photochemical smog are being generated from hydrocarbons which causes eye and skin irritation among others and also leads to serious long diseases and other respiratory related diseases... So i believe, in a measure to sustain and make effective use of their workers, certain welfare facilities will be available to workers such as medical health surveillance, medical allowances, etc... Trust me, if a worker falls sick due to exposure, it affects the company in so many ways which I can't start to explain now... But trust me, factory act gat ur back..

So be rest assured u r in safe hands...
