Bowen Ward came alive with political activity as the All Progressives Congress (APC) conducted its Delta South Senatorial Party Primary Election amid a peaceful and highly organized atmosphere.

The exercise attracted a massive turnout of party faithful, stakeholders, ward executives, agents, and supporters who gathered to participate in the crucial primary election regarded by many as a defining moment for the party in Delta South.

The contest featured the incumbent Senator, Senator Joel-Onowakpo, alongside prominent political leader, Hon. Prince Michael Diden, popularly known as Ejele. Voting was conducted through the open ballot system under the close observation of party representatives and stakeholders.

At the end of the exercise, Hon. Prince Michael Diden (Ejele) emerged victorious in Bowen Ward, recording a strong performance that immediately energized his supporters and further reinforced his growing influence within the APC structure across Delta South.

Speaking with Assorock Media shortly after the exercise, the Ward Chairman confirmed that the election was conducted strictly in line with the APC guidelines governing party primaries. He expressed gratitude for the peaceful atmosphere maintained before, during, and after the exercise.

The chairman further praised party members for demonstrating maturity, discipline, and unity throughout the process, noting that their conduct reflected the democratic spirit and strength of the APC in the ward.

Also reacting after the collation, Fatima Umoru, an agent representing Hon. Prince Michael Diden (Ejele), described the process as transparent and credible, adding that the outcome reflected the confidence and support reposed in Ejele by party members at the grassroots level.

Security personnel maintained calm and order throughout the exercise while electoral officials carried out their duties under close monitoring from stakeholders and political observers.

Political analysts have already described Prince Michael Diden’s victory in Bowen Ward as a significant political statement ahead of the broader APC Delta South Senatorial contest, with many suggesting that the outcome could influence emerging alignments within the party in the days ahead.
