fleps: Yea! The Tecno phones are good. But I want to warn, NEVER BUY A BRANDED PHONE! Example of such is the ETISALAT Tecno P3 branded phone. They won't tell you before buying that
1) the first sim is lockeked to their network
2) You can use any other sim on sim 2 but that is only when sim 1 is inserted. Meaning sim 2 can't work until there is a sim on sim 1
3) It is only on sim one that you can browse
4) You can not use their BB subscription on Android unlike MTN and Airtel
5) You can only use their easyflex or easyblaze which is 1000 for 100MB which will definitely finish before the end of 3 days.

However, though I've made the mistake of buying the phone, I believe the following are possible solutions to the problem (I don't give up easily on any problem or challenge; I love solutions)
1) I intend to contact them and gently ask if they could unblock the phone or sim slot to use other network probably for a fee. (30 percent chances of working)

2) Rooting the phone and try to unblock it. I'm still researching if this one will work at all. Please if you know that it will work, kindly help me out.

3) Disabling sim one (after phone start up and data is on). This will make the data connection switch automatically to sim 2 but sim 2 can only make use of GPRS and not 3G (tried this today and it worked). This can still be managed but with MTN, browsing may be slow in some areas except Airtel which has a better browsing network.

4) Selling the phone. I bought it for 12,000 and after using for 2 weeks, I'm willing to sell for 10,000.

daddyhez: Although Tecno P3 has two sim slots, you can only browse with one sim (sim 1) which is locked to Etisalat sim. When I insert another network sim into sim 1 slot, it is indicated that the sim is locked. Now, how do I unlock it. I want to be able to browse with the sim of any network as I please.

OCTAVO: How I wish that video was the original. I was in Primary school when that song came out. It gets me emotional whenever I listen to it. I seriously feel like crying for Nigeria. Little did we know then that Nigeria was a lot better!

I soo much it was d original video as well,I was in primary school too then and I remember sitting infront of my tv and singing it with joy,I miss all her song a lot then its sad that nta doesn't show all. Her songs again,d last time I saw it was 5years ago n I remember hw I use to dance to the song mama..and omode o....those songs really inspired my life while growing up...and was instrumental in making me knw what was right and wrong..I pray she's still alive and hope we can gt the video its just 23years ago since she relased it tht was 1990...it achieved a Gold status instantly....and am sure for selling ova tht much then many pple still. OCTAVO: The only credible NTA station that can give valuable information is NTA2 Lagos because that was the headquarters before it was moved to Abuja. And I'm presently not in Lagos.
Also, some old southwestern NTA stations created in the 70's like NTA Ilorin and NTA Ibadan e.t.c should have her tapes. Anyone in any of these locations can help.
I hope we can come up with something good about this.

Well you re rite even though have tried going to NTA ibadan before but they were more interested in me giving thems,but will try and go back there most of the pple I knw want bribe but this time I won't worry and will bribe them so as to gt me that mastertape because locating old record sellers aint easy but am 100% sure nta ibadan and nta lagos has the mastertapes and useful info abt her the problem is locating their directhav mailed the primary school they shot part of the video and waitng to hear from the girl who happen to be the propertior's daughter(though nt sure but tryn out)so will gt back to u whatever I can gather I hope u can also work on it there..thanks

But in her track "Nigeria my beloved country" she made use of students of Kings College Lagos and some other schools. One of those students then Should know something about her. Probably her family or relations.

I dont think shes a teacher but i knw she has strong ties with the babangidas cos maryams daughter was in the video when it was shot in btw 1989/1990 acording to this source
