The question was and still remains, what's wrong in her asking? The only thing people above me has succeeded in doing is haul insults at the lady.
@farano, i am not yet married but i dont think if its wrong for anybody(including a mother of two) to ask for a xmas gift from a friend or does being an ex makes one an enemy.. Naija i dey hail!

Being an ex does not make one an enemy, but recieveing gift and attention from an ex would soon cause calamity and turn you the enemy. Women natural are emotional creatures and can easily fall prey to an ex who want to still have some deals with her. It all about hitting the soft spot and the woman forgets the vows made on her wedding day. if the guy was and still randy, all it takes is to keep playing on her emotion until she gets to the spot where it all started and the rest is history. As my friend would say "once eaten, it can alwys be eaten again when the conditions are made the same like the first time. If she sees him on a normal day and says hi, no problem, but calling and asking for things from the ex isnt normal to me.
