The major reason why most developed countries flourish is access to capital that their citizens have.

If people have access to capital with low APR, everyone can get a credit card or business loan, then use it for their business, after which they gain profit and then pay back bit by bit. That is the only legit way to give the son of a nobody access to compete.

Imagine a guy that just finished NYSC have quick access to like $5k to start a business of his choice, isn’t that better than him running around to beg people before he can find a 1milli worth business?

My reply is not for you because you can’t understand. My reply is just for other Nairalanders.

Lol......it's not easy to even qualify to get a credit card, you must have a proven and solid source of income. To get access to a 5k dollars, you will need to make more than 2million naira monthly.

We are the source of our own challenges, as we aspire to leave Nigeria to contribute to the development of other nations.

Regarding the government's role, I believe they should consider making medical programs in universities and Nursing schools prohibitively expensive to discourage the training of professionals who might ultimately migrate abroad.

If all of una travel, who will take care of the over 200 million Nigerians?

Do you even read what you even write before you post? How much is the minimum wage is those country? There citizen will even pay this with student loan that doubles the school fee amount.

Is Nursing school not already expensive in Nigeria? School of nursing fee average btw 1.5million to 3million and minimum wage remain 30,000naira.

What is the difference between Starting an IV and Administering an IV

Sorry I'm having to rely on Western Sources; I'm not a trained practitioner myself.

Thanks for acknowledging your limitations...........starting I.v mean cannulation or insertion of i.v line not administration of i.v drugs as you might have seen when you did your Google. I work over 10years in Nigeria before leaving, so am giving you first hand info.
Celebrities / Re: Mohbad: Suspect Detained Is Not A Licenced Nurse – Association by Warriorprince(m): 3:06pm On Sep 24, 2023

What do you mean 'recognized'? They didn't get the same training and education the members of the society did, so it's common sense if they're not recognised as members.

A crude example would be the 'masons'. They may not recognised by Society of Civil Engineers but does that make them illegal or nullify their importance?

You can't equate someone working as a manson or road side mechanics with quacks parading as auxiliary nurses. We are talking about human life.

Just because alot of things are always undocumented and swept under the carpet in Nigeria.....that is why you don't understand the crime alot of them have committed. The male ones goes to the extent of performing surgery in so many places, and unsuspecting while the female diagnose, prescribed and administer any medications.

If you want to be an health care assistant in Nigeria, there is a full one or two years course they offer at school of health tech. Irrespective of what grade you came out with in SEC. Sch. And it's recognized every where instead of doing something illegal with your hard earned money.

This is just for info sake. Coz alot of people in Nigeria do not know that the term auxiliary Nurse or Dr is actually illegal. It's basically quackery.

Perhaps we should look at Nigerian laws instead. It appears some actually do in the world of today.

But I perfectly get the point where it is considered an overreach for auxiliary nurses.

Starting an I.V(cannulation) is different from administration of I.V. No country will allow unlicensed practitioner give I.V. I.V medication can cause severe issue even death in a matter of secs. if anything goes wrong.

Celebrities / Re: Mohbad: Suspect Detained Is Not A Licenced Nurse – Association by Warriorprince(m): 6:34pm On Sep 23, 2023
descarado:

Check the work of auxiliary nurses.
Nurses can't give medications unless prescribed by a Dr.
So whether a nurse or auxiliary nurse is not the problem. Who prescribed what was given.
Not the person who gave it.
If it's a nurse that did the prescription like it's done in Nigeria, it's still wrong. Whether auxiliary nurse or a nurse, none should prescribe any medication. In other words, the association is laying baseless accusation cos even if its a licensed nurse, who did the prescription is what matters.
Simple.

Your assertion is false. You don't know anything about how health sector works.

If a doctor prescribed, it is the work of a nurse to ensure it was a correct prescription and ensure it is safely given to the patient. If it was a wrong prescription the nurse wouldn't give but refer back to the doctor. So both who prescribed and who gives matter because they are both exposed to pharmacology.

In the absence of a doctor in Nigeria in some circumstances, a Nurse can prescribe using standing order. And in so many other country Nurse practitioner do prescribe drugs even in when a doctor is around.

There's nothing illegal about auxiliary nurses. They are licensed.

What is wrong with you guys?

And they are licensed to diagnose and give people injections according to your narrative?

Nursing assistant works are limited to Serving meals and helping feed patients. Assisting patients with performing basic tasks such as eating, dressing and going to the toliet when necessary and changing bedsheet e.t.c.

When you move to giving Injection, you are nothing but a quack.

Auxiliary nurse vs the so called "trained nurse"is a matter for another day

And in those climes, do they diagnose people and give them injection? They are just ment to do cleaning, bath and change patient cloths and other personal care.

Go to jail for what? That she's not a registered nurse doesn't mean she isn't licenced.

Her type in nursing are called auxiliary nurses. They are trained and licensed by registered (degree-holding) nurses. They usually practice under the supervision of a registered nurse.

Most hospitals prefer to hire auxillary nurses due to the cheaper pay. They basically perform the same duties as a registered nurse.

She is not licensed.

If you are not a registered nurse you can't be licensed. No degree or master holding nurse or doctor can license anyone.

The term auxillary Nurse in Nigeria is criminal. The fact that every dick and harry does it doesn't make it legal.

Since you have consistently demonstrated you have problem with English.....let me show you this verse.

37 When he came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen:

38 “Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!”[b]

“Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”

39 Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples!”

40 “I tell you,” he replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.”

Does the fact that I copied them from google make them false? Since the ignoramus doesn't believe the word of an experienced physician, I guess I had to quote online sources.
And why do you think she may remember some things considering she's well advanced in age and the dementia may be senile in origin?

You can't obviously determine the stage of her dementia by just looking at her age. You did not know the age she was diagnosis of dementia. Dementia can progress rapidly in just a matter of days in some people and could take many years in some. Remember in dementia memory for the distant past generally seems better, but some details may be forgotten or confused. Though both echopraxia and echolalia will be sure evident but you can't always say that is what the 'old lady' was experiencing at that time she is doing her thing unless you have a closer look. Lol. Typical ignorant theist.
Dude I'm a physician with nearly 20 years experience. So you need to calm down.
This is an excerpt from a medical literature.

Echopraxia (also known as echokinesis[1]) is the involuntary repetition or imitation of another person's actions.[1] Similar to echolalia, the involuntary repetition of sounds and language, it is one of the echophenomena ("automatic imitative actions without explicit awareness"wink.[1] It has long been recognized as a core feature of Tourette syndrome,[1] and is considered a complex tic, but it also occurs in autism spectrum disorders,[1][2] schizophrenia and catatonia,[1][3] aphasia, and disorders involving the startle reflex such as latah.[1][4] Echopraxia has also been observed in individuals with epilepsy, dementia and autoimmune disorders;[1] the causes of and the link between echopraxia and these disorders is undetermined.[5]

Obviously the woman doesn't understand the import and applications of her actions. She's replicating some of the stuff she watches, either on tv or in person.
So stop exposing your stupidity online. Live and learn.
By the way, I don't hate theists. I pity them cos they amuse me with their ignorance, the way yours amuse me. Now run along grin

With all this things you copied from Google, you forget that she might still actually remember somethings depending on the stage of the dementia.

Jesus Christ explicitly stated that He does not seek nor desire praise from any human being. He discouraged the praising of His person by humans.
The same Jesus Christ said that those who do what He commands are those who belong to Him.
So why then do you praise Jesus Christ, against His own decree, yet believe yourself to be of Him? undecided

Don't just qoute the bible without understanding. Look at the context of people Jesus was referring to.

You cannot serve God with lips, God is only desirous of the worship and praise of those who seek him in truth and in spirit and not just anyone.
