(CNN)Haiti's President Jovenel Moise was killed during an attack on his private residence early on Wednesday, according to the country's acting Prime Minister Claude Joseph, who has declared a state of seige in the country.

The attackers stormed Moise's home at around 1 a.m. and fatally wounded the head of state, according to the acting prime minister, who described the assassination as a "heinous, inhumane and barbaric act."

Haiti's first lady, Martine Moise, was shot in the attack and is being evacuated to a hospital in Miami for treatment, said Haiti's ambassador to the US.

Her condition is stable but critical, Ambassador Bocchit Edmond said in a press briefing.

Twitter chief executive Jack Dorsey has sold a digital version of his first tweet for more than $US2.9 million ($A3.8 million) more than two weeks after he announced a digital auction for the post.

The tweet from March 2006, which says “just setting up my twttr,” was bought by Bridge Oracle chief executive Sina Estavi, according to Valuables by Cent, the digital platform where the digital auction for the tweet was held.

The 15-year-old post was sold as a non-fungible token, or NFT – a digital certificate of authenticity that confirms an item is real and one of a kind by recording the details on a blockchain digital ledger.

Mr Dorsey tweeted earlier in March that the proceeds would be converted to bitcoin and given to the non-profit GiveDirectly’s Africa Response.

The charity has been raising money to support African families who were financially impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.

OP with all those things u've mentioned, I don't think any Christian will inherit the kingdom of heaven... too bad, even Christ sef go hell first.

Christian (Christ in another nature) should not be doing any of these. However, I am aware that there are professing christian, who are still involve in it. They should check their lives and make necessary correction.

The GRACE of God is still sufficient and teaches us to deny all ungodliness.

Spiritual sleep and slumber

While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. Matt 25:5

Our Lord told a parable (story with spiritual meaning) about ten Virgins who went out with their lamps to meet the bridegroom. Some of these virgins decided for extra oil, while the others felt it is not worth the trouble afterall their Lamps are still burning.

But while the arrival of the Bridegroom delayed , they all became drowsy and slept off.

They were all virgins (kept themselves from defilement), yet they slumbered and slept.

They all had Lamps with oil. They were busy preparing: went out to meet him, waited and expected his soon coming, but that was no guarante for their spiritual alertness and wakefulness.

The extra oil of those that even had it was no guarantee against spiritual slumber and sleep.

Many today are also awaiting the return of christ.

Many are feeling drowsy already.

Many are already fast asleep and snoring seriously.

Many are now so spiritual unconscious and ignorant about his coming.

Many are waiting foolishy without checking their oil reserve.

Those with extra oil are now so relaxed, that they have forgotten about various satanic cool breezes that could send them to sleep with no regard for their extra oil.

WHY ARE WE SLUMERING & SLEEPING ?

With sin on the Increase in the world, the love of many for their master and saviour will dwindle as they await his coming

The cool wind of false doctrine would cause the spiritually wearied soul to plunge into a state of spiritual drowsiness and sleep. Matt. 24:11

Frustration from unmet expectations and delayed desires will cause many to result into despair. proverbs 13:12.

Cares for riches, rat races and pleasures of life will not only choke the word of God in many a believers' heart but will also lock the believers' heart away in an earthly treasure box.

Pitching our tent near sodom like LOT, while the fervency for God is dilluted with friendship with world, which is enmity against God. James 4:4

It will only take a timely, constant and godly messages to jolt the spiritually sleepy soul back to life.

Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming.
