Yes we have the second worst colonial given name, only behind Niger : ( The name Nigeria was given as a derogatory insult by the wife (Flora Shaw) of a British colonialist. Pronounced correctly it is Nig*eria : ( It's so shameful. We should have changed it at independence, all the other ex-colonies did. By continuing to use the term Nigeria, we are insulting ourselves and holding back or own progress.
