Happy sunday nairalanders, trust your day is going well. I was recently in a situation where i was almost scammed and the situation made me realize how rampard scam has become in our society

So i am starting a business where i am essentially sharing peoples experience of getting scammed through social media platforms like youtube and facebook this is targetted at helping people know how to identify scams and protect theirselves and loved ones

My first video is going to be on these platforms that tell you you can make money from completing tasks and at the end of the day you dont get your money

First of il start woth the good, i appreciate that you went out of your way to implement a custom cursor which is just something that shows that you did your research on newer trends

And now the bad

To increase the performance of you site disable that cursor for mobile because nobody os hovering anything and it only slows your website

I just hate when nextjs websites dont use a top loader, the package is there just install it to avoid people clicking on links multiple times thinking they havent clicked it properly

Use canva or any other tool to optimize those images, they are too slow to load

Your instagram icon is redirectkng to linkedin

Then i keep getting client side errors on the homepage for no reason

Overall the dedign is ok, for me theres nothing special about the site except the animated cursor

i had alot of free time on my hands recently so to avoid being idle, i challenged my self to build a complete ecomerce store from scratch, now i know what you are probably thinking- who hasn't done that before, but hear me out i planned to build it the way brands like gucci or versace would do, where even the tiniest details would be added and provisions would be met for all use cases so click here to check the site live, i implemented a dashboard with features like sales tracker, web analytics, order management, customer management, inventory management. then on the customer side of things i implemented a payment gateway for shoppers, wishlist, shopping cart, amongst orders. so im not going to bore you with too much words just check it out, and give me your thoughts on it

Yeah someone complained about thesame issue just clear your cache and try again it was a problem with my middleware verifying user roles

Ease of navigation? Hmmm, well it’s basic.
Unnecessary flickering with elements flying here and there. And pardon me to say, you didn’t really match up in any way trying to create like those brands you mentioned would have done it.

Let me give you a pointer.
As a fullstack, you know your app and its features is as as good as the UI. Interaction and experience.
I build products from ground up and I can tell you how crazy it is iterating back and forth. Backend, Models, Schemas and all.
Do your self a favor don’t think about the UI, go to dribbble or behance, look for inspirations. Build through that, and you’d have better perspective and understanding.

You have 5sec to sell a product. Bad UI will make ‘em walk away.

i am using a non relational databse (mongodb) for the software, and i am using nextjs for the front end and backend just to handle routing.
