You can read up on nasa international space app challnge on your own time but it is basically a Hackathon and it is going to be taking place next week saturday through sunday

Participants will collaborate to develop creative, open-source projects that address Earth and space-related challenges.

There is a first place prize of 1 million, 700k respectively

And once all the submissions are done Nasa will pick one that solves their problems and the team will be invited to the NASA headquarters in the united state all expense paid.

If you are serious about getting into tech you would research what tech is, the different aspects of tech and choose an area of specialization.

So i am a freelancer, i build full stack websites using nextjs, and one thing i have come to realize is that freelancing is does not give me that financial stability i need, some days i am a big boy then the remaining days im soaking garri for a living.

After reading a few books on attaining financial independence i have decided to start a web development agency, essentially i want to create a system where my money is actually working for me and its not the other way around

Now i realize the biggest challenge is getting customers, so i have been reading alot on sales and marketing

I have been going to different businesses to sell my services and i notice one flaw, i dont know how to make a good first impression, i basically dont know how to approach a business for them to give me a listening ear, i can't seem to even get the gateman to understand what i am saying, as soon as i say i build websites it just seems like i am talking gibberish

So i really need advice on this: how do i approach a business. Please does anyone have an idea of how i can go about this

I recently built a website for a hotel and i went ahead to list the property on booking.com, now hes complaining that he cant see the reservations. So i installed the booking.com pulse app but when they tell me to verify the phone number i dont get a message and their customer care numbers are all international numbers. I have tried calling but every minute is at a rate of 450 naira and i have been on the line for 3 mins with no answer, at this point i dont know how i can reach them or what i can do about the situation.

Pressing the button at thesame time is one thing but those requests completing at thesame time is almost impossible

Because at that point it now depends on how fast each persons network is and how fast the bank validates the transfer

But short answer is that, the first request to be completed gets the item then the other person either gets a refund or waits longer for his item

You add to cart doesn't necessarily have to ask me to login. Add to cart should add without login, checkout should always ask for login.

Overall on phone user experience, I'll give it a 7.

I never really looked at it that way, thanks for the input il do well to update that functionality

I've seen this trend among developers/designers and almost everyone in the tech space. When approached with a gig/job, instead of mentioning what they will charge for it, they end up asking the client questions like: "What is your budget?", "How much do you want to pay?", etc.

In my opinion, questions like these mostly come from non-professionals. A professional who knows their worth, values their time, energy and resources -- will be straight to mention what they want to charge for a project.

You know better for goodness's sake. You're in the know of what the project will cost because you know what is involved. It's your skills that will be put to use!

It's better you mention your price and then let the client negotiate their way through. The question: "what's your budget" presents you as being open to any offer. Only hungry and desperate developers do that.

Stop it and be professional.

There is this idea social media has given, that asking a clients budget automatically means the client will tell you an amount that is way higher than the original price.

But from my experience as a fullstack developer when i ask this question the immediate response is "how much do you charge for the website"

Its kind of like a trick that no one ever falls for and if anyone falls for it the likeliness of them budgetting more than the worth is almost 0

Even if i go to buy something today which in most cases i already know the price range from what others have informed me, if anyone asks me my budget

1. i will definately not tell them because im not stupid instead i will call a ridiculously low price for you.
2. It will show me that this person is not trustworthy because he is trying to trick me.
3. This person is still new if not he would have come to a conclusion that this doesnt work.

Rather tell the person your price even if he planned to spend more, the fact you saved him that cost the customer will come back or even refer you to a friend.

Business is about building customers not cashing out instantly
