He wore a white coat. He took the Hippocratic Oath. And yet, behind the calm smile of Dr. Michael Swango lurked something dark — something deadly.

Between the 1980s and 1990s, Swango moved from hospital to hospital, leaving behind a chilling trail of sudden deaths, unexplained illnesses, and poisoned patients. For years, he evaded suspicion — even as colleagues fell sick and hospitals quietly dismissed him without warning others.

This is the terrifying true story of The Doctor of Death — a man trusted to heal, who instead brought death.

How he manipulated hospitals and hid his deadly crimes, the psychological profile of a medical serial killer, how investigators finally caught him, and why the system failed to stop him sooner.

Once drafted in the first round of the MLB Draft, Dan Serafini lived the dream: pitching for the Minnesota Twins, Chicago Cubs, San Diego Padres, and even overseas in Japan, earning millions and fame.

But after the glory days faded, his life spiraled into financial ruin, a failing marriage, and a desperate dependence on his wealthy in-laws.

Serafini and his wife even tried running a Nevada bar, The Oak Tavern (featured on the TV show, 'Bar Rescue'), but the business collapsed, leaving them deeper in debt. That failure marked the start of a dangerous descent.

On June 5, 2021, Robert and Wendy Spohr — Dan Serafini’s in-laws — were brutally attacked in their Lake Tahoe home. Robert was killed instantly, while Wendy survived for one year before taking her own life due to the trauma from the night of the shooting. Security footage showed a masked man stalking their home for hours before carrying out the execution.

What followed was a two-year investigation that unraveled a chilling truth: the killer was none other than Dan Serafini, the former Major League pitcher who once stood on the mound under stadium lights. After two years of investigation, Dan was later arrested and charged for the crime in October 2023.

He was found guilty On July 14, 2025, and is now waiting sentencing.

In what will come across as a really shocking development, a Thai woman known as Seeka Golf, has left many people completely stunned after it was discovered that she seduced and slept with over 20 Buddhist monks.

Thai police have arrested the woman who allegedly had sexual relations with monks, and then used photos and videos of the acts to extort money from them.

The woman, who police are calling "Ms Golf", had sex with the monks, police said at a press conference on Tuesday. They believe she received around 385 million baht ($11.9m; £8.8m) over the past three years.

Investigators who searched her house found more than 80,000 photos and videos used to blackmail the monks, the police spokesman said.

This scandal is the latest to rock Thailand's much revered Buddhist institution, which in recent years has been plagued with allegations of monks engaging in sex offences and drug trafficking.

Christianity EtcIf Jesus Knew He'd Rise Again In 3 Days, Was It Really A Sacrifice? by WeAfrique(op): 10:47am On Aug 24, 2025
If someone dies… but knows they’ll be back in three days… is that really a sacrifice?

Think about it. The power of sacrifice is in the finality — in losing something forever. But if Jesus knew His death was temporary, was it still a sacrifice? Or was it… just a weekend trip to the grave?

That’s a question many Christians avoid, but let’s be honest — it’s a valid one.

If I lay down my life to save my community, I don't get it back later. I've lost it forever. End of story!

Just like Princess Inikpi of the Igala kingdom who gave her life in order to save her people from imminent conquer by the enemy. Till today, Inikpi remains dead. Her sacrifice was final. She's never getting her life back. She permanently gave it up for her people.

But Jesus knew his death was only TEMPORARY. He knew he would rise up in only three days and go to heaven. Where was the finality in that? Were was the sacrifice?
