MY dear people of Ughelli South,
My name is Rotarian Ufuoma Steven Atare, and I stand before you today not just as an aspirant, but as a servant of the people and a voice for a new beginning under the banner of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Deciding not to decide is not the same as indecision-
it is, in fact, a decision in itself.
And today, I say to you: the time for silence is over.
The time for hesitation is over. The time to choose is now.
We stand at a defining moment in our history. Before us lies a clear choice —progress or retrogression.
There is no middle ground.
There is no neutral position.
If we refuse to act, we have already chosen to remain where we are.
For too long, Ughelli South has been held back by the same recycled political structures, systems that have delivered promises during elections but produced nothing but neglect afterward.

Today, those same forces have returned, wearing new faces, speaking through cronies, hoping we have forgotten.
But we have not forgotten.
We remember the broken roads.
We remember the struggling schools.
We remember the unemployed youth.
We remember the empty promises.
And so we must ask: why choose the same system and expect a different result?

I, Rotarian Ufuoma Steven Atare, proudly running under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), present to you not empty promises, but a clear, actionable vision:
Educational Reform – modern schools, empowered teachers, and opportunities for every child
Youth Empowerment – skills, jobs, and support for entrepreneurship
