I don’t work that way

You pay me first and I do my job

Or you pay me half first and balance me half at the end month so that’s how I can compromise and I look forward to working with your brand note the post will be two post daily
OK, we'll get back to you.

Note payment first and services follow
This is a full-time remote offer and you get paid at the end of the month after job has been done. It's never a prepaid offer.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Why Are We Like This? Why Nigerians Are Obsessed With 'quick Money! by WebLab: 2:10pm On Dec 31, 2025
Apart from the greed affecting the system, companies also need to adjust their modus operandi. If you want to employ entry level within the salary range of 50k-150k, that job should not be on-site. At least hybrid mode is still reasonable in big cities if full remote is not feasible. The truth of the matter is there's no way someone earning within that range can cope in Lagos for onsite jobs. How many months salaries will he use to pay his rents, let alone feeding and transportation except he has someone to stay with? We can't deny the fact that things are changing very fast and people are learning new skills that empower them to get remote jobs. Similarly, in the next 10-20 years the number of university enrollment will drop drastically because there won't be a necessity for going to university when you can easily acquire quality education online, that's if there is need for it.

Thank you guys for all your contributions, I appreciate it. So someone from the HR team called me earlier today and asked if I got their mail and I replied in agreement. I used the opportunity to ask questions and she explained that they couldn't find my complete records in the file so they're trying to harmonize them. She also told me she would send the new offer letter via mail since I work remotely. I am still expecting to receive it though.

Your employment date will remain the same date you first started, and is highly likely that you'll be required to go through another probation period (that only happens when the company is no longer sure of your competence or maybe you've done something wrong.)
But a change in salary is possible.
Thanks for your response. I have never received query from the company from when I joined till now. Anyways, I will go and pick it up and go through.

SmartPolician:
The company could be an early-stage business (less than 10 years after registration) that's in its experimental phase.

So, the management is probably reassigning job descriptions or increasing workers' responsibilities instead of hiring more people as a way of cutting costs.
It's just strange to me to be honest.

Yankee101:
Was there a salary increase?
Did they add marketing duties?
Was your long term benefits or salary reduced?
Did they add more work for you or promoted you?
I have not collected it yet. Another thing that raised concern is the fact they didn't send the new offer letter via mail as they did while sending the JD. They requested I come to the HR to pick it up.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: New Offer Letter After Working For A Year by WebLab(op):
Trojan8:
You got a new JD that you signed without hassle. Now you are getting a new offer letter that compliments it and that becomes a problem.

Anyways, try to read through the terms and conditions to ensure that you are not signing something that could hinder you in future. Can as well compare the two letters to find any line item that was added or taken out of each letter.

Adios
The new JD didn't contradict my work in anyway, it's within the confinement of my day-to-day activities in the company. The role stays the same, only the reporting line changed. That's why I signed because any company can restructure reporting line at any time
Jobs/VacanciesRe: New Offer Letter After Working For A Year by WebLab(op): 7:26am On Dec 17, 2025
thesicilian:
Maybe they are retyping it to reflect the terms and conditions in the updated job description you've already signed.
Or maybe it's a promotion letter.
Either way you'll still be required to sign that you've received this new offer letter, so make sure you read it carefully before accepting it, so that you don't fall into any traps.
Thanks very much for your reply. I have just been wondering of the intention behind this. Will they be starting my employment date affresh or restart another probation period or change salary? Different questions just running through my head.

As you have advised, I will surely go through it very well before signing.

Thanks.

Good evening, everyone.

Please, has anyone experienced this before? I joined this company earlier this year and I am spending a year with them already. Immediately I joined, I was given offer letter and other documents to sign which I did sign them immediately and send back to them. Last week, I got a mail from the HR to sign an updated JD which I signed and returned. Again this week, I got another mail from the HR to come to their office to pick offer letter. Offer letter after a year of work!

I am thinking something might be fishing. Please house, has anyone experienced this before because this is my first time of coming across this in about 10 years I have been working.

Your contribution and guidance will be much appreciated.

My mum died not long ago, and my dad has a hand in her demise because her marriage was a turbulent one and she died of HBP, now shortly after she died, my dad came along with one woman who is very bold and shameless, first off she already has children from another fling not marriage, and now she comes and sleeps over, infact she's not discreet about it she's bold, brazen and doesn't feel ashamed of what she's doing.

Recently she has gotten more relaxed , she used to mind her business, she comes and do her thing and leaves, now she overstays, and she's now meddling in our family affairs, trying to mom me and my siblings now, then turning our dad away from us, now my dad sponsors her and her child from another relationship but neglects us like he did our mom.

I could easily make life miserable for her but I am not interested because I'm moving out as soon as possible, but what about my siblings, she has taken over everything and now she's my father's voice.
Take your father to Justice Court, they will make him committed to his responsibility. That's the only way you can help yourself and your siblings.

Whatever you want to put your money into, don't ever try buying stocks whether foreign shares or local one if you don't know how it works. I have been there and I can tell you for free that you can lost 50% of that money if you don't have knowledge of the market.

I run a pos business with some other side hustle. POS is profitable. If you're not operating it yourself just make sure you monitor it closely, aside from hiring a sales girl or boy, also go around sometimes, let customers know you own the business and lastly don't borrow people your money.
Thank you for your input

Since you have a job already, I'd recommend you consider Cryptocurrency staking.

What is it?

It is basically like fixed deposit in banking language.

Why Staking?

While many people do not know, ALL Crypto Exchange offer staking service. And you get 0.2 - 0.6 % daily on your capital.

For ₦1m, you can get ₦5k daily depending on the period you go for, 3days-1yr.

If you choose say 1yr, you will get ₦5k daily for the next 1yr, with your capital guaranteed.

This is something I do personally, and I can show you my earnings details.

But please make sure you have some Crypto knowledge or someone around you that knows about Crypto.

Packaged Kulikuli is a very lucrative business. My line of business actually.
There are two types of kulikuli(regular aboki sandy type) and the sweet spicy kulikuli with kilishi taste.
Get the second type of Kulikuli in bags and repackage in small quantities and be cashing out weekly.
What does it entails? Do you make it yourself or buy in bulk? Kindly guide me on how to access the market and the distribution.
