Students can also be move from science class to art or commerce class without any hitch, although this might affects his/her overall session position when automated grading is done.

Meanwhile, graduate and school management can still access all students records and result even when the graduate no matter how long. To implement this, we uses student session together with their class and each student Reg No are Unique.

School Admin can also rename student's class, e.g Class A can be rename to Class Black or any word.

Back to your question, if buy a plan from us we don't host in our server. We help you set it up your in preferred choice of server and hand the control over to the school or our client. The school can management the web application or we can help them management it too.

Further, for generating card pins, we generate them and produce customise scratch card for each school.

SDOSMS have 3 Admins, their function are as follow

I - ADMIN EDITOR

1. They can only input, edit or correct student result/s if the result is on EDITING OR UNSATISFACTORY STAGE.

2. They input student carry over scores.

3. They input or edit student profile information, passwords or pictures.

4. They correct an unsatisfactory result sent back to them by the ADMINS (SENATOR).

5. After inputting or editing a particular result, they can send the result to CONFIRMATION STAGE for the SENATOR (ADMINS) to moderate, certify and approve.

6. Input time table and School events.

7. Defer student admission.

8. Move student result to another session.

9. Upload news and best graduating pictures to student walls.

10. Reply mail to students.

11. View student registered courses.



II - ADMIN Senator

1. They can only operate on a result if the result is on CONFIRMATION STAGE.

2. They verify and certify each student’s results sent to them by ADMINS (EDITORS).

3. After verification, if they are satisfied with the result, they can now approve the student’s result (i.e. SEND THE RESULT TO APPROVED STAGE). However, if they are not satisfied with the result, they send it to UNSATISFACTORY STAGE for ADMINS (EDITORS) to do the specified corrections.

4. They give reasons why a student’s result is not certified.

5. Send approved result to students and their sponsors via provided phone numbers and emails as well.

6. They can select the ADMINS (EDITORS, and SENATORS) that approve a particular student result.


III - ADMIN General

1. Control and create other ADMINS and their privileges.

2. Reset passwords for ADMINS.

3. Create New Student Session Structure

4. Update New Student Session Structure

5. Can select the names of ADMINS (EDITORS and SENATORS) that approve a particular student result.

6. Maintain database security and backup.

@ cbrass, from my personal experience most web host do support PDO and if the don't tell you webhost you need it. When I wanted to upgrade my old MySQL code, I really suffered a lot and I have to do thorough research before upgrading to final upgrade.

To me mysqli is good but PDO is best because tomorrow now you may not like MySQL again and needs to upgrade to another database. Hmmm, then is when you see big wahala again.

Recently, I have a web application I was developing for a company, I was coding with MySQL Database and suddenly my client request that I changed to another database because they have custom desktop program that will share the same database with the web application. Luck on my side I was using PDO and guess what I only have changed my connection string parameter because my MySQL tables and fields are the same with the new database. Of course, I charge him for the new development.

My personal advice to all web developers is to used PDO and not MySQLi because of tomorrow you may want to upgrade to another database. If you use PDO, you don't need to start re coding again which is SIMPLE and BEST.

@Valon4ego, thanks my Oga. However, the programming used in developing this web application is PHP, AJAX, JQuery, CSS, HTML & MySQL as the Back END. However, ORACLE, MS SQL Server, Microsoft Access, CUBRID, Firebird, IBM, Informix, ODBC and DB2, PostgreSQL, SQLite, 4D, etc. can be used as well as the back end.

More so, it can be easily integrated into existing portal no matter the programming used by them.

Meanwhile, I will open a new topic soon on things a programmer must to know in or cover programming language for them to develop big projects like this.

@ Donocsco, No we are not hosting for any school but the N600/N700 covers our services fee which includes Scratch Card printing, 50 SMS per students per session, maintenance fees, free upgrades (which is for life), miscellaneous etcs. Hence, the school have option to produce their Scratch Cards and which will be deducted from our service fee.

However, there are other two admins ie SENATOR and GENERAL that I didn't upload. The main admin call GENERAL is responsible for generating this Scratch Card pins to be used which will be controlled by the school web master or ICT department.

More so, schools charge up to N2, 000 to 5, 000 on student's portal that doesn't have features compare to S.D.O.S.M.S. Thus, a web developer have more to gain from using our web application. Thanks
