WhiteTechnology:The sooner we realize the kind of leaders we have today in Nigeria, the better for all of us. It's only those that are deeply affected can tell. I am not a politician neither do I support any one of them. We have been brain watched in this country by our so called leaders. As for the issue of who is better, I don't think Jonathan is better than IBB but all I know is that they all the same. In short Abacha is far better than our present president. |
This is unbelievable. Though, I don't really belief the statement even after checking the website. But if that is true, I guess our leaders are senseless. Moreover, they have been joking with the future of Nigeria. We are saying this because, this is what we heard or saw, but what about what we neither hear nor saw. May God Help Us in this Country. |
Of couse, everybody will die one day. But nothing is compare to living a heathy life. If only you can visit some federal hospital, then you will understand what am saying. |

If urgent steps are not taken to check environmental degradation in Nigeria, the country may lose about $460 billion to climate change by 2020 and may be exposed to a gross domestic product loss of between 2% and 11%. This was disclosed by the Executive Director, Women Environmental Programme, WEP, Mrs. Priscilla Achakpa, during a two-day capacity building workshop organized by WEP in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Environment, for Extension Service Officers held in Makurdi, Benue State capital. She noted that findings by relevant agencies indicated that the development posed a threat to the efforts of government to boost food production in the country and the actualization of the Vision 20:20 20 of the Federal Government. Achakpa, who was represented by Mr. George Akor, a Director in the Programme, maintained that “the best way to reach farmers with climate change information is by developing capacity of Agricultural Extension Service Officers in interpreting and communicating climate change information to rural farmers including women.” According to her, the negative impact of climate change on countries in Africa remains huge despite the fact that the continent contributes little to global greenhouse emissions. “This situation calls for concerted effort by all relevant agencies and governments to ensure that the impact of climate change on Nigeria is mitigated,” she stressed.http://websolvetech..com |

The United States, yesterday, formally declared war on Boko Haram, classifying the terror group believed to have ties with al-Qaeda, a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO). A statement issued by the US State Department, yesterday, in Washington, said the US government was invoking Section 219 of the Immigration and Nationality Act, as amended, and section 1(b) of Executive Order 13224 to designate Boko Haram and Ansaru as Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTOs). The Federal Government which had hitherto mounted pressure on the US against taking such action, also issued a statement through Nigeria’s Ambassador to the US to explain why it accepted the US classification of Boko Haram and Ansaru as terrorist groups. According to Ambassador Ade Adefuye, the decision to declare Boko Haram and Ansaru as Foreign Terrorist Organizations, was taken at a meeting at the State Department on Friday, November 8, 2013, and they took immediate steps to inform the authorities in Abuja. “For the past couple of months, this embassy successfully countered pressures from religious organizations and politicians both in Nigeria and the US on the American government to make this declaration. Our belief then was that the twin-track approach of enforcement and dialogue adopted by the Nigerian Government would make Boko Haram see reason. Regrettably, the continued intransigence of the sect compelled our government to proscribe the organization on June 4, 2013,” Adefuye said. The Federal government said its earlier opposition of the designation of Boko Haram and Ansaru as FTOs by the US was “because of the wider implication and exposure to stringent measures that such actions will impose on ordinary Nigerians”. But the State Department said its assistance to Nigeria stresses the importance of protecting civilians and ensuring that human rights are respected. It said designation of these groups as FTOs demonstrates U.S. support for the Nigerian people’s fight against Boko Haram and Ansaru. |

All branches of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) will hold their congresses today to brief its members on President Goodluck Jonathan’s offer. Nigeria public universities were closed down several months ago as a result of the Federal Government’s failure to implement the agreement it entered into in 2010 with lecturers. There have been a lot of calls to the Federal Government and ASUU to come to a compromise so that students resume academic activities. Both warring factions had maintained hard ... United States – In 1996, Brian Zembic, a gambler and magician who lives in Las Vegas, Nevada, got chest implants after his friend him $100,000 he couldn’t keep them in for a year. Zembic says he’s grown to love his new parts so much that he refuses to remove them. “It’s a normal part of my life,” he adds, “It really is, as sick as it is, it’s normal.” Getting the ... http://webSolvetech..com

After getting an annual payment offer of N220 billion for the next five years, from the federal government, following a marathon meeting that ended Tuesday, indications have emerged that the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) may lose the sympathy of many and may make the government wield the big stick if it rejects the recent offer by the government, with a full blown implementation of the ‘no work, no pay’ policy likely to break the ranks of the union and cause disaffection among the members who ...
