If you are still interested in buying Nissan Murano, check out this link here in Nairaland and please get back to me: https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/action-profile/sa-showPosts/u-221820 Let me know what you do. Please scrow down and u find lists of cars for sale, among which is 2006 Nissan Murano. These cars are in Nigeria as we speak. Weimar |
I would suspect that most cars that are shipped to Nigeria for sale are pretty much cars that have had, in one way other, some accidents. So long as the seller can rebuild his/her cars for sale, that is by buying new engine (if it needs new engine) or even buying new body parts. People regularly do this around the world and it is not illegal. My problem is changing the milleage. This, to me, is dishonesty. We need to avoid this backward behavior; like the person who detected the mistake, accidents can result and can lead to loss of lives. So, openness is not enough to do good business. You need more than that. You do everything to remove any atom of dishonesty. Your go is to gain the confidence of your customers. You don't do this by providing misleading info irregardless of how cheap the car is. In a professional business, execuses are no no. It is irrelevant. Immagine if the gentleman didn't do his research. No one would have known. It may not be deliberate but in business, it is considered deliberate and as a seller you have just lost your ability to gain the confidence of your buyers. Another problem I see in recent car business is sellers over inflating the price their products or even deflating the price of a car. This might be as evil as anything. A set of fair or reasonable procedures for buying and selling cars in Nigeria need to be in place that can help protect buyers and sellers. We also need to provide conducive competitive environment beneficial to both sellers and buyers. Another thing I have noticed in this forom is the fact when someone puts an ad by creating new topic, requesting if people who love to buy their car, land or whatever (as an example), you find someone else bring their ad in the same topic. To me, this is like a thief coming to steal your business plan right in your face. It is not advisable and it is not a good business practice. If you think you want to place an ad to sell a product even if the product you want to sell is the same as others, why not create a new topic to present your product rather than trying to steal a business from others who are only entitled to the add they placed for their product. This sort of behavior, to me is extremely barbarian and it doesn't portray or demonstrate any form of professionalism. Nairalanders, what do you think? |
Can the gentleman above please provide proofs on your authoritative statement about why you believe Biofuel is more injurious to the environment when it is converted from food to biofuel? If countries like Japan, Brazil, France and especially the USA are seriously involved in biofuel projects, and of these countries already providing tax benefits as incentives their citizens for participating in this program, would it have crossed their mind that turning natural, edible foods to biofuel is more injurious to the environment? If I recall, naturally this is what I think is happening: starch + Oxygen ==> Carbondioxide + Water + biofuel. The reactants can be fats or even fatty acids. The general products are the same (i.e. water and Carbondioxide). However note that one of the products, CO2, is captured during the processing from fatty acids to biofuel, to form glyceril. This glyceril or gylcerol as it is also called, can be reused and it is extremely beneficial in the industrial world. I hope my simple explanation about how biofuel is produce makes sense, and it is extremely environmentally friendly. It is an excellent source of alternative fuel. I am glad we are getting into this process. It is expensive, at least gives us a sense of freedom. It is my prayer that some day, we Nigerians, will be able to device a less expensive way to produce biofuel, that is cheaper than what normal oil or diesel prices are currently going. I must say this though, that Nigeria and other African countries under the equator are in better positions to take the advantage in this rather lucrative imerging business. Weimar |

Amen!!!! In the fulfillment of time, God sent His son, born of a woman, to die for our sins. Yes, when God opens my page, He will complete the line and write, a new job for me. In the mean time, He provides me with patience and enduring power to spend quality time with HIM. I am enjoying this moment. Thank you for your positive email. GOD bless you |
Hi There, please send me more information to my email address: chukso@yahoo.com. You will not regret. |
Yes!!!!! The good thing about this plan is that it offers the driver the vast opportunity to stretch himself beyond his imagination. Where in the world would you find a someone in less than two years give you the privilege to own your van while providing you means to earn a monthly living? This sort of business plan will only attract an intelligent, diligent, and hardworking driver. This plan will never work for someone who is pessimistic or extremely uptimistic, greedy, or someone with no vision, someone who has no clue as how to lay out his objectives to meet his goal. The type of driver I am focused on is the driver who has the ability to count the cost before venturing, someone who can envision opportunities while at the same time is extremely creatrive to reach goal, someone with with a keen hindsight to see a genuine opportunity and quickly cease the moment. The desired driver must meet and adhere to the principles put in place to drive this plan to work. As the owner of the van, my assignment is to thoroughly scrutinize every candidate for this job. I have in place tools and procedures to achieve this. It may take time, but when the time comes, you will get what you are looking for. Patience, longsuffering, wisdom, humility are virtues that I cherish in each potential candidate for this job. Remember that a good driver will do everything they can to ensure that required daily N30K is be delivered, even if it does not make that amount. This is the spirit of good driver. He is obliged, determined and he believes he will succeed. He goes, trusting that God will do the rest for him. |
The Power of GOD still in Motion Acts 3 A Lame Man Healed 1 Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour. 2 And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered the temple; 3 who, seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked for alms. 4 And fixing his eyes on him, with John, Peter said, “Look at us.” 5 So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them. 6 Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” 7 And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. 8 So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them—walking, leaping, and praising God. 9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God. 10 Then they knew that it was he who sat begging alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple; and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him. Preaching in Solomon’s Portico 11 Now as the lame man who was healed held on to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the porch which is called Solomon’s, greatly amazed. 12 So when Peter saw it, he responded to the people: “Men of Israel, why do you marvel at this? Or why look so intently at us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk? 13 The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorified His Servant Jesus, whom you delivered up and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let Him go. 14 But you denied the Holy One and the Just, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you, 15 and killed the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead, of which we are witnesses. 16 And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all. 17 “Yet now, brethren, I know that you did it in ignorance, as did also your rulers. 18 But those things which God foretold by the mouth of all His prophets, that the Christ would suffer, He has thus fulfilled. 19 Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, 20 and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before,[a] 21 whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began. 22 For Moses truly said to the fathers, ‘The LORD your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brethren. Him you shall hear in all things, whatever He says to you. 23 And it shall be that every soul who will not hear that Prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.’[b] 24 Yes, and all the prophets, from Samuel and those who follow, as many as have spoken, have also foretold[c] these days. 25 You are sons of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham, ‘And in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed.’[d] 26 To you first, God, having raised up His Servant Jesus, sent Him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your iniquities.” |
I hear my brother. This is why I am trying to do my part to effect some type of genuine changes in the way business is done in Nigeria. It requires hard, where you set up your objectives to meet your goals. We need some principles in place so that our foundation will always remain solid and enduring the circumstances define our future. Thank you promise72. |
It was to redeem us that Jesus lived and suffered and died. He became "a Man of Sorrows," that we might be made partakers of everlasting joy. God permitted His beloved Son, full of grace and truth, to come from a world of indescribable glory, to a world marred and blighted with sin, darkened with the shadow of death and the curse. He permitted Him to leave the bosom of His love, the adoration of the angels, to suffer shame, insult, humiliation, hatred, and death. "The chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed." Isaiah 53:5. Behold Him in the wilderness, in Gethsemane, upon the cross! The spotless Son of God took upon Himself the burden of sin. He who had been one with God, felt in His soul the awful separation that sin makes between God and man. This wrung from His lips the anguished cry, "My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken Me?" Matthew 27:46. It was the burden of sin, the sense of its terrible enormity, of its separation of the soul from God--it was this that broke the heart of the Son of God. But this great sacrifice was not made in order to create in the Father's heart a love for man, not to make Him willing to save. No, no! "God so loved the world, that He gave His only-begotten Son." John 3:16. The Father loves us, not because of the great propitiation, but He provided the propitiation because He loves us. Christ was the medium through which He could pour out His infinite love upon a fallen world. "God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself." 2 Corinthians 5:19. God suffered with His Son. In the agony of Gethsemane, the death of Calvary, the heart of Infinite Love paid the price of our redemption. Jesus said, "Therefore doth My Father love Me, because I lay down My life, that I might take it again." John 10:17. That is, "My Father has so loved you that He even loves Me more for giving My life to redeem you. In becoming your Substitute and Surety, by surrendering My life, by taking your liabilities, your transgressions, I am endeared to My Father; for by My sacrifice, God can be just, and yet the Justifier of him who believeth in Jesus." None but the Son of God could accomplish our redemption; for only He who was in the bosom of the Father could declare Him. Only He who knew the height and depth of the love of God could make it manifest. Nothing less than the infinite sacrifice made by Christ in behalf of fallen man could express the Father's love to lost humanity. "God so loved the world, that He gave His only-begotten Son." He gave Him not only to live among men, to bear their sins, and die their sacrifice. He gave Him to the fallen race. Christ was to identify Himself with the interests and needs of humanity. He who was one with God has linked Himself with the children of men by ties that are never to be broken. Jesus is "not ashamed to call them brethren" (Hebrews 2:11); He is our Sacrifice, our Advocate, our Brother, bearing our human form before the Father's throne, and through eternal ages one with the race He has redeemed--the Son of man. And all this that man might be uplifted from the ruin and degradation of sin that he might reflect the love of God and share the joy of holiness. The price paid for our redemption, the infinite sacrifice of our heavenly Father in giving His Son to die for us, should give us exalted conceptions of what we may become through Christ. As the inspired apostle John beheld the height, the depth, the breadth of the Father's love toward the perishing race, he was filled with adoration and reverence; and, failing to find suitable language in which to express the greatness and tenderness of this love, he called upon the world to behold it. "Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God." 1 John 3:1. What a value this places upon man! Through transgression the sons of man become subjects of Satan. Through faith in the atoning sacrifice of Christ the sons of Adam may become the sons of God. By assuming human nature, Christ elevates humanity. Fallen men are placed where, through connection with Christ, they may indeed become worthy of the name "sons of God." Such love is without a parallel. Children of the heavenly King! Precious promise! Theme for the most profound meditation! The matchless love of God for a world that did not love Him! The thought has a subduing power upon the soul and brings the mind into captivity to the will of God. The more we study the divine character in the light of the cross, the more we see mercy, tenderness, and forgiveness blended with equity and justice, and the more clearly we discern innumerable evidences of a love that is infinite and a tender pity surpassing a mother's yearning sympathy for her wayward child. |
Well, if you are no experience in doing this sort of business, it will be better for you do your own research. This is exactly what I am doing via this medium. Nevertheless, there are other incentives that I have put together that will cause a driver not to resist. With the kind of stimulus I will package for the driver, the driver will be a fool to let go. Below is the short pick of the plan. 1. The driver will only drive for me for 18 months. 2. After 18 months, the driver will become the sole owner of the van 3. The beneficiary will do the same to another trusthworthy driver 4. This model doesn't have to be done only with transportation business, I believe the idea should transient all through other business ideas. What a way to help your neighbour. Why 18 months and not five years? It will take about 18 months for a driver who is serious to pay off the van and at the same time make a good profit for the owner. This is an outstanding win-win situation were greed has no room to breed. The driver is paid monthly and he gets to own the car at the end of 18 months. However, failure to abide by the contract will annul the plan. Guess what? the driver will lose. I strongly believe just as one has worked hard to earn his hard earned money to start a transportation business (yes sitting at home while your money work for you), so will the businessman take time to look for the trustworthy driver that will help him achieve his plan. To me this is a sound business where everyone involved is a winner. I hope this make sense to you. |
Nature and revelation alike testify of God's love. Our Father in heaven is the source of life, of wisdom, and of joy. Look at the wonderful and beautiful things of nature. Think of their marvelous adaptation to the needs and happiness, not only of man, but of all living creatures. The sunshine and the rain, that gladden and refresh the earth, the hills and seas and plains, all speak to us of the Creator's love. It is God who supplies the daily needs of all His creatures. In the beautiful words of the psalmist-- "The eyes of all wait upon Thee; And Thou givest them their meat in due season. Thou openest Thine hand, And satisfiest the desire of every living thing." Psalm 145:15, 16. God made man perfectly holy and happy; and the fair earth, as it came from the Creator's hand, bore no blight of decay or shadow of the curse. It is transgression of God's law--the law of love--that has brought woe and death. Yet even amid the suffering that results from sin, God's love is revealed. It is written that God cursed the ground for man's sake. Genesis 3:17. The thorn and the thistle--the difficulties and trials that make his life one of toil and care--were appointed for his good as a part of the training needful in God's plan for his uplifting from the ruin and degradation that sin has wrought. The world, though fallen, is not all sorrow and misery. In nature itself are messages of hope and comfort. There are flowers upon the thistles, and the thorns are covered with roses. "God is love" is written upon every opening bud, upon every spire of springing grass. The lovely birds making the air vocal with their happy songs, the delicately tinted flowers in their perfection perfuming the air, the lofty trees of the forest with their rich foliage of living green -- all testify to the tender, fatherly care of our God and to His desire to make His children happy. The word of God reveals His character. He Himself has declared His infinite love and pity. When Moses prayed, "Show me Thy glory," the Lord answered, "I will make all My goodness pass before thee." Exodus 33:18, 19. This is His glory. The Lord passed before Moses, and proclaimed, "The Lord, The Lord God, merciful and gracious, long-suffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin." Exodus 34:6, 7. He is "slow to anger, and of great kindness," "because He delighteth in mercy." Jonah 4:2; Micah 7:18. God has bound our hearts to Him by unnumbered tokens in heaven and in earth. Through the things of nature, and the deepest and tenderest earthly ties that human hearts can know, He has sought to reveal Himself to us. Yet these but imperfectly represent His love. Though all these evidences have been given, the enemy of good blinded the minds of men, so that they looked upon God with fear; they thought of Him as severe and unforgiving. Satan led men to conceive of God as a being whose chief attribute is stern justice,--one who is a severe judge, a harsh, exacting creditor. He pictured the Creator as a being who is watching with jealous eye to discern the errors and mistakes of men, that He may visit judgments upon them. It was to remove this dark shadow, by revealing to the world the infinite love of God, that Jesus came to live among men. The Son of God came from heaven to make manifest the Father. "No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, He hath declared Him." John 1:18. "Neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal Him." Matthew 11:27. When one of the disciples made the request, "Show us the Father," Jesus answered, "Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known Me, Philip? He that hath seen Me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?" John 14:8, 9. In describing His earthly mission, Jesus said, The Lord "hath anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He hath sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised." Luke 4:18. This was His work. He went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed by Satan. There were whole villages where there was not a moan of sickness in any house, for He had passed through them and healed all their sick. His work gave evidence of His divine anointing. Love, mercy, and compassion were revealed in every act of His life; His heart went out in tender sympathy to the children of men. He took man's nature, that He might reach man's wants. The poorest and humblest were not afraid to approach Him. Even little children were attracted to Him. They loved to climb upon His knees and gaze into the pensive face, benignant with love. Jesus did not suppress one word of truth, but He uttered it always in love. He exercised the greatest tact and thoughtful, kind attention in His intercourse with the people. He was never rude, never needlessly spoke a severe word, never gave needless pain to a sensitive soul. He did not censure human weakness. He spoke the truth, but always in love. He denounced hypocrisy, unbelief, and iniquity; but tears were in His voice as He uttered His scathing rebukes. He wept over Jerusalem, the city He loved, which refused to receive Him, the way, the truth, and the life. They had rejected Him, the Saviour, but He regarded them with pitying tenderness. His life was one of self-denial and thoughtful care for others. Every soul was precious in His eyes. While He ever bore Himself with divine dignity, He bowed with the tenderest regard to every member of the family of God. In all men He saw fallen souls whom it was His mission to save. Such is the character of Christ as revealed in His life. This is the character of God. It is from the Father's heart that the streams of divine compassion, manifest in Christ, flow out to the children of men. Jesus, the tender, pitying Saviour, was God "manifest in the flesh." 1 Timothy 3:16. |
ASL33. All I need is your reason as to what you think and not just what you think. Tell me why you think what you think. I believe if 15 seater van transport passengers from Lagos to Benin once a day at N1500, what is the total amount made on round trip per day, per week and then per month? 15 passenger x (times) N1500 = N22,500 x (times 2) for a round trip per day = N45,000 per day. Considering all the expensives driver might have at the end of the day, you should be left with N30K per day. Per month (22 working days) x N30K =N660k Please ASL33 share your experience. Thank you Weimar |
I am seriously considering buying a 15 + driver seaters vehicle for transportation. I am simply researching: 1. What is the expected minimal daily return after expensives settled (like fuel, and others)? a). Can you get up to N40K per day if you are the main driver? b). Can you get up to N30K if you assigned a driver to drive for you? 2. What if you decide to put the vehicle on Lagos and Benin Road, what kind of return should you be expecting? (ie after expenses are been settled) a) N40K, that is driving yourself? b) N30k assigned to a driver? I am considering the these ideas ie taking the factor that drivers assigned are trustworthy people. Please reply as soon as you can. God bless you all. weimar |
Yes, of course, Jesus is still the true Shepherd. This morning I woke up asking to guide into the study of His divine word. I was led to discover this piece. I hope those who are currently going through some difficult trials will find the information below bring hope to go through their trials, for there is a glimpse of light shinning on the other side of tunnel. As the shepherd leads his flock over the rocky hills, through forest and wild ravines, to grassy nooks by the riverside; as he watches them on the mountains through the lonely night, shielding from robbers, caring tenderly for the sickly and feeble, his life comes to be one with theirs. A strong and tender attachment unites him to the objects of his care. However large the flock, the shepherd knows every sheep. Every one has its name, and responds to the name at the shepherd's call. As an earthly shepherd knows his sheep, so does the divine Shepherd know His flock that are scattered throughout the world. "Ye My flock, the flock of My pasture, are men, and I am your God, saith the Lord God." Jesus says, "I have called thee by thy name; thou art Mine." "I have graven thee upon the palms of My hands." Ezek. 34:31; Isa. 43:1; 49:16. Jesus knows us individually, and is touched with the feeling of our infirmities. He knows us all by name. He knows the very house in which we live, the name of each occupant. He has at times given directions to His servants to go to a certain street in a certain city, to such a house, to find one of His sheep. Every soul is as fully known to Jesus as if he were the only one for whom the Savior died. The distress of every one touches His heart. The cry for aid reaches His ear. He came to draw all men unto Himself. He bids them, "Follow Me," and His Spirit moves upon their hearts to draw them to come to Him. Many refuse to be drawn. Jesus knows who they are. He also knows who gladly hear His call, and are ready to come under His pastoral care. He says, "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me." He cares for each one as if there were not another on the face of the earth. "He calleth His own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. . . . And the sheep follow Him: for they know His voice." The Eastern shepherd does not drive his sheep. He depends not upon force or fear; but going before, he calls them. They know his voice, and obey the call. So does the Saviour-Shepherd with His sheep. The Scripture says, "Thou leddest Thy people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron." Through the prophet, Jesus declares, "I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with loving-kindness have I drawn thee." He compels none to follow Him. "I drew them," He says, "with cords of a man, with bands of love." Ps. 77:20; Jer. 31:3; Hosea 11:4. It is not the fear of punishment, or the hope of everlasting reward, that leads the disciples of Christ to follow Him. They behold the Saviour's matchless love, revealed throughout His pilgrimage on earth, from the manger of Bethlehem to Calvary's cross, and the sight of Him attracts, it softens and subdues the soul. Love awakens in the heart of the beholders. They hear His voice, and they follow Him. As the shepherd goes before his sheep, himself first encountering the perils of the way, so does Jesus with His people. "When He putteth forth His own sheep, He goeth before them." The way to heaven is consecrated by the Savior's footprints. The path may be steep and rugged, but Jesus has traveled that way; His feet have pressed down the cruel thorns, to make the pathway easier for us. Every burden that we are called to bear He Himself has borne. Though now He has ascended to the presence of God, and shares the throne of the universe, Jesus has lost none of His compassionate nature. Today the same tender, sympathizing heart is open to all the woes of humanity. Today the hand that was pierced is reached forth to bless more abundantly His people that are in the world. "And they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of My hand." The soul that has given himself to Christ is more precious in His sight than the whole world. The Savior would have passed through the agony of Calvary that one might be saved in His kingdom. He will never abandon one for whom He has died. Unless His followers choose to leave Him, He will hold them fast. Through all our trials we have a never-failing Helper. He does not leave us alone to struggle with temptation, to battle with evil, and be finally crushed with burdens and sorrow. Though now He is hidden from mortal sight, the ear of faith can hear His voice saying, Fear not; I am with you. "I am He that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive forevermore." Rev. 1:18. I have endured your sorrows, experienced your struggles, encountered your temptations. I know your tears; I also have wept. The grief that lies too deep to be breathed into any human ear, I know. Think not that you are desolate and forsaken. Though your pain touches no responsive chord in any heart on earth, look unto Me, and live. "The mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but My kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of My peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee." Isa. 54:10. However much a shepherd may love his sheep, he loves his sons and daughters more. Jesus is not only our shepherd; He is our "everlasting Father." And He says, "I know Mine own, and Mine own know Me, even as the Father knoweth Me, and I know the Father." John 10:14, 15, R. V. What a statement is this!--the only-begotten Son, He who is in the bosom of the Father, He whom God has declared to be "the Man that is My fellow" (Zech. 13:7),--the communion between Him and the eternal God is taken to represent the communion between Christ and His children on the earth! Because we are the gift of His Father, and the reward of His work, Jesus loves us. He loves us as His children. Reader, He loves you. Heaven itself can bestow nothing greater, nothing better. Therefore trust. Jesus thought upon the souls all over the earth who were misled by false shepherds. Those whom He longed to gather as the sheep of His pasture were scattered among wolves, and He said, "Other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear My voice; and they shall become one flock, one shepherd." John 10:16, R. V. |
Hi Mad_Max In the Jewish system, there are three kinds of law that God used to guide the people of Israel. The Moral law also known as the ten commandments, written by the figure of God, the ceremonial laws and the civil laws, written by Moses but dictated by God. It was not God's intention for these laws to be a burden to the people of God. The people of Israel failed to understand the purpose of these laws. In fact, they confusef matters by increasing or adding their traditions to these set of laws. No wonder Jesus categorically shun Jewish people and even used the word "woe" on the Israelites. When Christ died on the cross, the civil and ceremonial laws were abolish when Christ died. Some of the ceremonial laws required the people of God kill sacrifice and celebrate certain days. These days were also refered to Sabbaths. These Sabbaths were abolished but not the Sabbath in the Ten commandments. The Jewish people misunderstood Jesus when He healed lots of people on the Sabbath. The creator of the Sabbath comes and He showed them how to keep it but they just couldn't get it. According to Isaiah, 58, the Sabbath is a day to do good things a lot and not our own pleasures. The same Jesus who died on the cross has a Jewish Heritage. Paul in Galathia 3:26, confirm that when we accept Christ, we belong to His family, for there is neither slave or bond, rich or poor, men and women, jew or gentile, for we are all family through the adoption of Christ via His blood. this means that we are now spiritual Israelites because we all believe in Christ. Only those who accepts Christ as their Savior and Lord have this privilege. Now if you don't believe in Christ, then, it will be difficult for you to understand this truth. Only God can bring conviction to your heart. I can't do that for you. Mark 12:29 is only refering to the first ten commandments where Jesus is quoting from. I will be glad to give you a bible study so that you can understand the concept of trinity. This is not something we can just explain here. But I will give you a background: Both Quran and the Bible explained the need for a sacrifice to be paid to ramsomed man from sin. Both believe that no man can died for man. That a messiah must come, who is both man and God at the same time. This is still mysteries to all. But it had to happend. The problem is not that Moslems do not believe in Messiah, it is just that it is not clear if Jesus who came some two thousand years ago is the messiah. Many passages in quran similar to the ones in the bible, especially the book of Isaiah definite about who charasteristics of Jesus. If you have time, read the book of Isaiah 53, 59 and 61 along with quran and also the books of Matt, Mark and John and see the relationship. If you have an open mind and willing use inductive and deductive methods of studying the Bible, God will show you mighty things. Arguing with people is not going to help you. You will need to study the Bible and Quran prayerfully to understand what God is telling you. I have the feeling that you are searching for truth. You will find it. But you can't find if you are desire to argue with people. God bless you. |
~Lady~. That is very explicit. I believe the Sabbath day is still binding. Jesus' statement: "I am the Lord of the Sabbath," confirms that He instituted the law of the Sabbath in both Exodus 20 and 31. The statement indirectly alluded that Christ is the creator of the Sabbath. This will mean that He first initiated the keeping of the Sabbath at creation. This also mean that the Sabbath is one of the early, solid blessings He gave to man as a gift, after man was created. In fact, it would seem that mankind first had their first party with God on the Sabbath. No wonder the Bible says that after God has created everything on the Seventh day, He rested from all His work and blessed the Sabbath day. Gen. 2:2-3. The questions now is: why is keeping Sabbath so important? The Sabbath commandment is the only commandment of the ten in the bible that reveals God's onwership to this earth. ""Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your manservant or maidservant, nor your animals, nor the alien within your gates. For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy. (Exodus 20:8-11). Satan does not like the fact that God assume ownership of the earth. After Satan was driven away from heaven, he has always claim the earth as his. Why? because man fell for him. Christ death on the cross nulified that. To the spiritual Isralite, who Christ purchased by His blood, ithe Sabbath is a sign between Him and them (Christians included) Ezekiel 20:20. There have been a controversy between good and evil. It all started in heaven where Satan had accused God that His leadership was unfair and the demand to keep the law was unjust. He also fought for the position of Christ. To prove his case, he deceived man and then showed God that he was right the while. It has been Satan's determined effort to ensure that no one sees the importance of Sabbath. The significance of the Sabbath commandment centers on the death of Jesus Christ. This command envission a restoration program- an atonement to restore man to God via Jesus Christ sacrifice. It teaches the lesson of faith-trusting God explicitly that He will provide for our needs. It is a day that speaks of freedom and miracle. Christ performed more good works on Sabbath days than any other days. Remember that Christ healing was either reliefing people from physical ailments or from spiritual bondage. Sabbath also set the occassion and describes a moment in our lives to receive from God a blessing that may not be easily obtained if our minds are clusters with the cares of this world. Like the tithe principle, God has given us six days to labor and do our works, but the Seventh day He wants to spend with us. Lastly, Sabbath is important because it was made for man and not man for Sabbth. In other words, it is sacret moment to enjoy with God. It is a moment of the week to enjoy with God's people together. Jesus had to come to demonstrate to the world that Satan is a liar. According to John 3:16, we see God demonstrating His love through the death of His Son Jesus Christ on the Cross. In Daniel 7:25, the prophet reveals one of Satan's scheme to deceive the world. It states that Satan plans to change times and laws at a specific time in History. WE know that The Sabbath was changed by the pagan roman, an evil Satan ochestrated and history confirm this. Today, Christianity claimed because Jesus rose from the grave on Sunday, it signifies the change. But there is no scriptural proof that Christ Himself stated that when I resurrect, go ahead and change the law. If it is true that prophet Daniel unveil the scheme of satan some thousands of years past and even told us that the exact day and who will be doing this, should this be a common sense for the christian brethrens to avoid failing into the trap of Satan by worshipping on Sunday? The amazing thing is that the book of revelation talked about the end of times in relation to Sabbath keeping. Revelation 14:17. "And the dragon was wroth with the woman (woman stands for God's church), and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandment of God, and the testimony of Jesus." So you see, it is still important to keep God's commandment. The good news is that we obey it by the power of Jesus Christ. The Sabbath commandment is like every other laws contained in it. If we miss one of them we miss all. In essence, no one can keep the commandment of God except He is filled with the Holy Spirit of God. Without the Spirit, we will be fooling ourselves with Satan. God wants to give His spirit freely to those who come to HIM. It is not clear why a Okija_juju in the forum included Babcock University as one of the bad private schools in Nigeria. Babcock is a Seventh-day Adventist Institution known for their reputation as one of the best schools in the world. Schools like Andrews Unviversity, Loma Linda University, Pacific Union College, Union College (USA) and other higher institutions share the same method and philosphy of teaching with Babcock University. You definitely need a high school diploma as a requirement to apply to the school. Once your application is received, you will write an admission test. If you pass, then you will be fully accepted into the program. The school is primarily focusing on accepting Seventh-day Adventists who can't take their exams on Saturday, and this simply due to their beliefs (Exodus 20: , where it reveals every member to obey the ten commandments (John 14:15).Yes, Babcock one of the most expensive private higher institutions in the Country but it sure is a safe place to be. You will always find a teacher in class to teach, the pressure to bribe is close to zero, and you will find excellent students to befriend and packed with positive influence. So, if the gentleman that included Babcock as a bad school could give reasons why the school is bad, it will be apprciated. |
