What's the latest on Dr Maduka the philanthropy guber aspirant, Dr Maduka, the Harvard man? How is he? Who knows? What's he doing about his election loss? Going to court? Still doing philanthropy? Or, is he taking back his money? Still in Nig or back to base? Etc. I just want to know.

Politics / Re: Why Is Africa Always Blamed For Everything(photo) by Welcum: 12:14pm On Dec 01, 2021 |
I will tell you now... Africa is blamed because we claim to be human but we reason at the level of animals. So, the rest of humanity is careful lest we pollute them with our animal nature. For example, most Africans lack the ability to see the roots of problems. We only address the surface and complain like idiots. So, we hardly learn from our mistakes. Consider this about Nigeria right now... Welcum: |

Since the coming of Buhari, this country has seen unprecedented levels and kinds of gruesome murders and violent crimes. Some of you would be asking, "wetin concern Buhari here". Behavioral psychology reveals that such violent crimes in the public space will rub off on the members of the public. These kids have seen so many killings and blood in the news that it now appears as sport to their forming psyche. The problem is that we Nigerians hardly learn our lessons. We don't look at the roots of problems. We keep addressing the symptoms only. Read this and have an idea: Welcum: 49 Likes 8 Shares |

Politics / FACT CHECK: Did The World Bank Commend Kogi State's Accountability Profile Recen by Welcum: 11:28am On Nov 30, 2021 |
FACT CHECK: Did The World Bank Commend Kogi State's Accountability Profile Recently? Please, I am calling on the Nairaland Admin to give me an opportunity of a fair hearing here. I have noticed a dangerous attempt possibly by the Government of Kogi State to manipulate media platforms (including Nairaland) in order to deceive Nigerians. So, Nairaland needs to prove that it is not a part of the deception by giving this differing perspective an equal hearing with the news item in question which is reported here and published on the Nairaland home page. Below is my comment on the news item. It reflects my differing viewpoint: FACT CHECK: Is This Piece of News Fake Or Real? The Nairalander who posted the news (Happiness32) should come and tell us why he appeared to be quoting the original news article when he actually doctored it heavily. Then, let other eyes on this forum look into my presentation side by side with what Happiness32 has to say. Eventually, we will need to summon Seye Olumide of the Punch to come and defend the news item he reported which is at issue here. Cc: Seun Lalasticlala Mynd44

Politics / Re: "Standard For Accountability": World Bank Hails Kogi's Financial Statement by Welcum: 9:42am On Nov 30, 2021 |
FACT CHECK: Is This Piece of News Fake Or Real? I would have liked this piece of news to be real because we need a youth as a presidential hopeful. Unfortunately, there are tons of indicators that this is fake. First, I clicked through to the original news article on the Punch newspaper website. The following lines from the original news article show that even the Punch did not see any such document from the World Bank: According to a statement, the commendation was made in a letter addressed to the accountant-general of Kogi, which was said to be dated November 21, 2021. Why should the Punch have been using words like the bolded lines above...? 1. "According to a statement" - Which statement? A statement by who? Why does the Punch seem to lack the courage to state the primary source of the news? 2. The letter to the Accountant General of Kogi "was said to be dated" - uncertainty. 3. "The letter was said to have been signed" - uncertainty. From the above, my conclusion is that the Punch was hugely paid by Governor Bello to report this. So, in a bid to take the money and still maintain their reputation, the Punch editors ended up talking from both sides of their mouths. Then, compare the original news article with the post here on Nairaland that claims to be quoting the original article. I see the OP here making a desperate attempt to hide the uncertainty in the Punch report from the Nairaland community. It further proves that the entire plan is to deceive us into believing a lie. I am ready to debate this publicly with anyone who questions my submission. We can't let ourselves to continue to be deceived by the corrupt political class. Let's be woke please. This unnecessary hunger and wretchedness must end in 2023. 9 Likes 1 Share

The rate at which married women are promiscuous these days is alarming! The worst part is that the promiscuous ones look like angels the most. If I wasn't the one they tempted, I would never have believed they did it. 5 Likes 1 Share |
