This is a commendable move by the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, showing clear commitment to economic growth and industrial development.

Reducing tariffs on key sectors like agriculture, manufacturing, and healthcare will ease business operations and boost local productivity. The inclusion of incentives such as zero-duty on critical machinery reflects forward-thinking leadership.

This kind of policy direction is exactly what Nigeria needs to stay competitive and support investors. Kudos to the government for taking bold and practical steps toward national progress.

If they are not well paid they can resign. Will the sugar cane make up for the short fall in salary? Typical Nigerian mindset of ruining businesses

saintopus:
Imagine the yeye memo! How much sugar cane can a staff chew? If they are avoiding the dirtiness of the environment from chewing the sugar cane that will be OK.
This is the problem with the mentality of an average Nigerian. And it’s why businesses fail.

You open bakery, the eat bread anyhow and say, how much is the bread.

You open business they take time out unapproved and say how many minutes did I even go for.

You open poultry , they steal the eggs and say how many do I even take sef.

They even tell you workshop is where a worker will chop.

We are our problem.

You mean a govt that came in mid 2023 should be blamed for 2022 and also expected to change things within a year.

Mind you 2025 has a better result.

PBAT is trying to play the Abacha scripts whereby he aimed to end up as the sole candidates in his plan to transition to democracy in 1998. I hope PBAT will not end like Abacha bcs history has never been kind to Anyone who wants to truncate system. Even the big OBJ wasn't successful in his 3rd term agenda.
PBAT is the one orchestrating this script how I wish that he knew that becoming the sole candidates in 2023 is the end of his beginning
Stop blaming BAT or APC for ADC woes. They know their game plan and instead of doing the right thing they are playing on the sensibilities of Nigerians.
Politics › Re: Bolaji Abdullahi reacts to Professor Amupitan's interview on ADC crisis by wellmax(m): 8:08pm On Apr 03
ADC should act within the context of the law, put their house in order and stop blaming INEC.

This strategy is outdated and will not work in 2027.

APC made the same mistake in 2009, despite being at the centre, they couldn’t not present candidates for elections in 2 states.

Politics › Re: ADC: Abacha More Democratic Than Yesterday's NADECO Activists - Peter Obi by wellmax(m):
wellmax:
Why does Obi think he can easily rewrite history. Well he knows his followers don’t read or know history.

NADECO (National Democratic Coalition) was a prominent Nigerian pro-democracy group formed in 1994 to fight for the revalidation of the annulled June 12, 1993, election and end military rule.

Key leaders included
Anthony Enahoro, Michael Ajasin, Ebitu Ukiwe, Oyo Opadokun, and Bola Tinubu.Key NADECO Members and Leaders:Chief Anthony Enahoro: Leader of the coalition.Pa Michael Adekunle Ajasin:

Prominent elder statesman/leader.
-Commodore Ebitu Ukiwe: Leading member.
-Rear Admiral Godwin Ndubuisi Kanu: Leading member.
-Oyo Opadokun: Secretary-General.
-Bola Ahmed Tinubu: Founding member and mobilizer.
-Alani Akinrinade: Key member.
-Cornelius Adebayo: Member.
-Bolaji Akinyemi: Member.
-Abraham Adesanya: Leading member.
-Wale Osun: Acting Secretary-General
-Dan Suleiman: Member.
-Balarabe Musa: Member.
-Alfred Rewane: Member.
-Kayode Fayemi: Member.

Key Details About NADECO:
-Formation: Established on May 15, 1994.
-Key Goals: De-annulment of M.K.O. Abiola's victory, military exit, and a Sovereign National Conference.
-Operation: Many members were forced into exile or engaged in dangerous domestic protests during Sani Abacha's regime.Outcome:
-Played a crucial role in bringing about democracy in 1999.

When all these were fighting Abacha where was the drunk yes daddy man. And he has the temerity to say Abacha was more democratic.
But I’m not surprised, majority of the democracy fighters are from a particular region. Others just came to reap where they did not sow. That’s why the fullish Obi can make that statement. Obi was even an employee of Abacha and benefited from the regime, so I’m not surprised. Saying that Abacha was more democratic than the people who fought and forced him to Pallant a transition program.
