In a time when African startups struggle to get early attention from investors, a new homegrown platform called Seedstreet is quietly redefining how young founders connect with capital. Built by 18-year-old Nigerian student and tech founder, Gospel Otti , Seedstreet aims to become the digital street where every young idea in Africa can find visibility, investors, and growth — without the traditional barriers that hold many back. According to early testers, ]Seedstreet feels like a mix between RobinHood, AngelList, and LinkedIn, but with a more youthful energy and local relevance. It’s sleek, colorful, and designed to make startup discovery fun and social .instead of the usual formal, corporate vibe. Across Africa, thousands of young entrepreneurs have brilliant ideas but little to no access to funding or visibility. Traditional platforms are often built for older, well-connected founders, leaving Gen Z innovators at the margins. Seedstreet flips this script by offering a no-barrier listing system where anyone can instantly showcase their startup, share updates, and get noticed by investors or other founders — all inside a mobile app. Startups can: – List themselves instantly (no approval) – Post updates, progress, and images – Explore other startups for inspiration Investors can: – Discover all startups by default – Follow promising ventures – Track growth and potential deals Essentially, Seedstreet is turning the early-stage startup ecosystem into a social experience, fast, simple, and transparent. Who’s Behind It? The founder, Gospel Otti , is a 18-year-old student at a University of Nigeria, and part of a new wave of Gen Z innovators building real products from campus dorms. He says: built Seedstreet out of frustration. Too many young Africans have ideas that die unseen because they don’t have connections or visibility. I wanted to build a street where every dream ,every seed can find sunlight.. The platform already has 150+ early waitlist signups, showing early traction even before its public beta launch. Why It Matters. Seedstreet represents something deeper ,the rise of a youth-led fintech and innovation movement . It’s part of a broader trend of Gen Z Africans taking ownership of how they build, fund, and share ideas. Even in beta, it’s already attracting attention from founders, students, and potential partners who believe Africa’s next wave of billion-dollar ideas will be born online — not in boardrooms. Open for Partnerships & Collaborations The Seedstreet team is currently exploring partnerships with accelerators, campus innovation hubs, early-stage investors, and brand collaborators who want to empower the next generation of founders.
