Re: Deportation, Lagos seals off Orji Uzor Kalu's Ikoyi Mansion And The Hypocrisy of Governor Peter Obi

It was true that the house of the former Governor of Abia State located in Ikoyi, Lagos, was sealed off yesterday. The House was reportedly sealed off by some Revenue Collectors working for the Lagos State Ministry of Finance for defaulting Land Use Charge. It was reported without being countered that Kalu has been defaulting Lagos for the past 5 years. Unchallenged multiple reports have it that the owner of the sealed-off property (Kalu) had been written three times to pay his debt but refused to do so. The house has however been unsealed following the intervention of Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State.
Having confirmed that Kalu was, and still a Land Use Charge Defaulter, I wish to charge him to desist from politicising the action of officials performing their constitutional duties because as a former Governor, I expect him to know better. Anyone preaching equity must be clean! I make bold to say that that he (Kalu) wouldn't have tolerated any property owner not paying Land Use charge for a period of five years if he is still in office. He should just pay and see what happen next? Let me also advise my Igbo friends to stop the ethnic collouration of the lawful exercise.

Furthermore, I read an article authored by Chief Kalu in his paper, Daily Sun, on sunday where he lampooned Governor Fashola for deporting his Igbo brothers and Sisters in an inhumane manner. Kalu concluded his piece by asserting that Fashola erred because "LAGOS IS A NO MAN's LAND".
As a Conscious Public Affairs Commentator, let me re-assert again (because I had asserted before) that the action of Governor Babatunde Fashola and other Governors that had deported destitute to their States of origin contravens sections 35, 36, 41 and 42 of the 1999 constitution of Nigeria as amended. However, I wish to dissagree with Mr. Orji Uzor Kalu that Lagos is a No Man's Land. He actually goofed, and I consider his affirmation an insult to the peace loving people of Lagos. For the sake of clarity, and at the risk of repetitiveness, let me tell those who care to listen that Lagos is a South Western State. Lagos is the land of yoruba people. If Lagos is no a man's land as posited by Kalu, then, may I ask that, IS ABIA STATE that KALU maximumly GOVERNED with impunity for eight years a NO MAN's LAND? If yes, then, why did the government of Abia State sent-packed all non-indigene from their CIVIL SERVICE (including Kalu's Igbo brothers and sisters)? Where was Kalu then? Did he kick? Did he threaten to sue Governor Theordore Orji whom he handed over to when he implemented the never-seen-before policy? Has Kalu forgotten that 30 percent of the civil Servants in Lagos State are Igbos and no one has sacked them?
Nonetheless, let me avow before people begin to colour me an ethnic biggot that i believe in One Nigeria, but I wish to remind the general public that it is the same constitution of Nigeria that says Lagos belongs to Yoruba People. Therefore, I wish to again, opine with all sense of impartiality and objectivity, that the statement of Kalu that Lagos is a No Man's Land is an insult to the accomodating and peace loving families of Dosunmus, Gbadamosis, Oyekans, Kosokos, et al of Lagos.

I also urge Kalu to stop the ethnic colouration and Politicisation of the deportation saga, and instead, condemn the bizzarre violation of the law of the nation by the anti-masses Governors of Nigeria.
And for record purpose, I wish to affirm that all political parties and ethnic groups including the Chief Petitioner of Nigeria, Governor Peter Obi of Anambra (APGA) are guilty of violating the rights to movement, live, dignity and liberty of those they had deported. It should be recalled that Anambra State government of the APGA, under Peter Obi, deported people to Ebonyi and Akwa Ibom States in 2011. FCT administration of the PDP under Bala Mohammed deported people to about 15 states in 2012. Rivers State of the PDP under Rotimi Ameachi deported people two weeks ago to about 7 states. Lagos State of the APC under Fashola had deported Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba people to their States of origin in his controversial bid to get Lagos cleaned and secured. Consequent upon this, I urge those playing ethnic politics with the unlawful action to bury their face in ultimate shame.

Conclusively, I implore all human rights crusaders, civil socities and labour unions that are intrested in the peace and tranquility of Nigeria to rise up against the caculated attempt by Nigerian Governors to make live unbearable for the commoners. All anti-masses policies must not be allowed to stand. The breaching of Nigerian constitution by elected public officials must be stopped at all cost. Our Law Must Be Protected!

May I tell you that you re wrong in your assertion? The skull only change is policy to met the demand of her target goal.
They only call those that didn't choose as a result of JAMB general failure,and it was agree upon by ALL VC to reduce cut-off mark to 180 in line with NUC directive.so that is the reason Y that call for anybody that score 180 abd above for the exam.
On first,second and third choice,they all have chance,AAUA admission is purely on merit(40 above) and notting can be done abt that,if 3rd choice score 50 and first choice got 41 for a course like POLITiCAL SCI,o boy forget first choice Ooº°˚ ˚°ºoo ,and 3rd choice go be no 1 der.
Also,other factor like indigene is also considered,but above all HiGH mark DOES it irrespective of 1st,2nd,and 3rd. Choice,,
AAUA admission is base on merit ok,,,,,,,,it is only when got 40 above that you can PUSH for RUNs ok,,but below that,forget it.
Lastly,lecturer hardly have say in admission ok

The General cut-off mark for science student as at last year is 40,when you score 40+ you have chance of gain admission with some condition attach, Eg
( 1). State of indigene
(2). First, 2nd or third choice
(3). No of student that choose the course
(4). No of candidate that score above 40
(5). No of space allocate to the department for admission.
Worst still you can still be given admission but your course will be change,some to Educational course

You will be admitted upon scoring high,they might give you MCB but during screening you will not be accepted into the department,they will ask you to for educational courses

Akungba skull fees is not up to 50k but this year the vc said there is going to be increase of it,so but for is still the cheapest public state uni,,

This is to inform candidates that made Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo their first and/or second choice, who had scored 150 and above in 2013 UTME examination,  that online registration for 2013/2014 Post-UTME screening exercise had commenced from 18th June, 2013.

           Detailed information about the registration can be accessed on the school website: www.rugipo.edu.ng

          The scratch cards for the registration can be obtained at any branch of the following banks and post-offices:

(i)            First Bank Plc, (Owo and Alagbaka-Akure Branches);

(ii)          Skye Bank Plc, Owo;

(iii)         Wema Bank Plc, Owo;

(iv)         Enterprise Bank Ltd, Owo; and

Hmmm,lemme ask you one question,if D.E don't need jamb why did they do jamb then?,,ma broda go and ask from any DE candidate that gain admission into aaua,that ND result is also need but you must pass jamb first before considered.
You may right that the skull has not publicly announce the. Cut off mark,yes is truth but they will surly not do that unless in the advert for Putme exam only...
The current pre-degree student that are about to write their exam not have been told by the skull magnt the first semester exam is only for those that score 180 and above,so they ask the rest to go home
Am not sayinh am the skull PRO but know for sure there are student who are very close to skull infor than other,,,,,,ma one of the skull twitter handle and a report,also a friend to the SUG
