immortalcrown:

You have not been able to explain how the profit sachet water retailers made in the past can sustain the retailers now. My point is that cost of living compels the retailers to increase retail price, and you have not been able to debunk the claim.
.

Oga cost of living is high but the inflation we have in Nigeria is artificial. Brought about by greedy traders like you or those you are defending.
If manufacturers and agro producers were half as greedy as the traders I wonder how our economy would have been by now.

.

It is illogical for you to use the North to defend yourself. Most food items are produced in the North and sold cheaper in the same North. If you want to use the North to challenge my comment, start by proving that most food items are not produced and distributed at cheaper rates in the North.
.

What of food produced in the south like garri and palm oil, are they any cheaper? The greed of our southern brothers is equal ti none.
.

You answered the first question and try to divert from the rest. That first question is for you to understand that bulk sales give factories more profits despite how much retailers gain per bag. That question does not in any way imply that I don't know the meaning of bulk sales. So, stop ranting nonsense.
.
You seriously want the retailer to make as much profit as the producer? You see the greed. You have been comparing both group since the beginning of your rant.
.

The essence of the second question is to show that factories make more profit than retailers. This emphasis is even attached to the question. Maybe I didn't phrase the question well. Now, let me explain that 2nd question. Assuming the retailers have employees, can the profit the retailers make pay each of the employees 15k or 20k monthly? This question is to reveal that the factories sell in bulk and make more profits.
.
you try continue

.

You craftily try to use the North to answer the 3rd question. Cost of living in this period of inflation is cheaper in the North. How much is a cup of Rice in that North and how much is a cup of Rice in an area where a sachet of water costs ₦50? Answer this question since you want to use the North to defend yourself.

So, you are yet to present facts against my comment.
Come to think of it. Why should water be cheaper in relatively dry north than wet south if not for the greed of people like you

JagabanB:

I am not expecting a retailer that bought a bag of water at #100 and sold for #10 each to sell same bag of water #10 each when he buys it for #300.
What I'm also not expecting is that a retailer will buy a bag for #300 and sell it for #1000.
That's criminaIiity, ur emotions won't justify it.
I gave an example with dudu Osun that's manufactured down south and sold cheaper in the north than in the south.
Why??
The north is part of Nigeria, subsidy removal, rising cost of living also affects the north, why do u foIks down south prefer ripping urselves out?
Why?
Manufacturers make more profit and make more expenditure.
Manufacturers face rising cost of living just as retailers do.
I have no idea how much a cup of rice is because I don't buy rice in cups so I can't really answer you on that.
Let's assume a cup of rice is #200 in the south and then it's some around #100-#120 in the north, the rice seller in the north can decide to take it to #250, the water seller in the north can also decide to take his water to #1000 and chains of effects will take place, but they are not doing, u do it in the south and defend it.
I was in the south, both a bottle of fearless for #500, came down to the north, bought it for #250.
That's exactly half the price it was down south, south-south to be precise.
Today, fearless is #350 in the north, only God knows how much it is down south now.
Is it produced in the north?
Palm oil from the south is more affordable in the north, why?
The south has a knack for rippîñg each other apart for same commodity and bIame the government, it's same thing with sugar and cement whereas sugar factories are in the South.

Bro you have been dishing out very sound points they are all facts. But that man you are educating is one of the greedy retailers we have down south. He knows the truth but won't accept it.

NATIONAL POVERTY

When core North Emirs complain about a government, 8 months in clinical exercise of corrective surgery on the harm and injury inflicted, pretending that they are not aware of the history, that while all this recklessness was going on, that they did not partake and enjoy it, we look and pity them. Buhari became president May 29 2015. He inherited a foreign reserve of 29 billion dollars. Between 2015 and 2023, he had vacuumed this fund and borrowed 32 billion dollars. From external debt of Jonathan of 10 billion dollars, Buhari left 43 billion dollars to Tinubu. These Emirs all enjoyed the carnival when it lasted.

I remembered TINIBU and his APC screaming to high heavens when GEJ left office, of how he left an EMPTY TREASURY. in this life ehhh what goes around, comes around. Karma is a bi@ch

I thought the whole essence of devaluation of the Naira was to promote export? Now export is lucrative but both federal and state government are not happy.

Why so desperate to encourage export when it is visible to the blind that we cannot produce enough for the country?

This present government have zero economic sense.

A poor man always think the rich man is wealthy because of luck.

And the rich man believes the poor is poor because he is lazy.

A young lady who married very early thinks ladies who are finding it hard to get married have bad character.

While a woman who just got married and start giving birth sees "barren" women as people who lived a wayward life.

A man who just graduated and get a job immediately thinks he is smarter than others.

If only the poor knew the price the rich paid to get to top and if only the rich knows the battles, challenges that the poor is going through, none will ever form a theory about each other.

If the poor can't appreciate the rich man's success let him mind his business, if it is easy to be rich he wouldn't have been poor.

And if the rich won't help the poor grow at least they should not kill the spirit of a struggling man.

If only you know what people endure or fight behind the scene you will always thank God for your life. Until you walk in people's shoes, You will never know how hard the journey is.

Nobody sees or care about your pain, your tears, hunger and the hardship you are currently enduring but the moment you become successful, the same people that declared your persona non grata will want to investigate the source of your wealth. They never investigated the source of your poverty.

Help one another. Be your brother's keeper, but if you can't/won't help, please leave me alone in peace

Don't judge. Let love lead the way.

I heard he was a former militant. Once the head of task force (markets collections) for Obior/Akpor LGA under Wike. He loves football and usually organised tournaments for PH "Owomidas" before hitting it big. No matter what, never allow your passion to die. Even if you are not in the place you would love to be, continue to chase your passion. Congratulations to him. Chippers United will soon smile to the bank as scouts from Europe comes calling. You see the reason why the chippers club chairman said he would support Nigeria over SA. Bros wan cash out on top Nwabali head. If Nigeria wins the tournament, Nwabali 's value goes up. Football na money first before passion, at least for Africans.

Militant ke? Why are Nigerians so wicked? Which kind dirty rumor is this?

You are really ignorant and I think you should be ashamed of yourself. My advice: Study hard.
It is a fact that the electricity generating plants that supply the highest amount of power(megawatts) and is the most reliable and cheapest in Nigeria are the Kainji, Jebba and Shiroro hydroelectric plants. The Zungeru hydroelectric plant is another huge plant that Nigeria just added to the grid. The combined output of these hydroelectric plants is over 3000MW.

Hydroelectric plants generate clean and renewable energy .Globally, hydroelectricity is a major electricity resource, accounting for more than 16% of all electricity produced on the planet.

All generators use fuels ( whether gas, coal, nuclear etc) to generate steam which is used to spin a turbine attached to a generator that generates electricity

Shiroro, kainji etc convert strong potential energy behind the dam into kinetic energy in order to run the turbine. Water standing in a bucket can't generate electricity. You are the ignorant one here my friend.

All generators use fuels ( whether gas, coal, nuclear etc) to generate steam which is used to spin a turbine attached to a generator that generates electricity
I here. Not all generators sir.

Did you watch the video? Did you see that he has an alternate power source to power his machine? Have you considered the cost efficiency of the machine? Anybody can come up with anything to claim anything. His machine only power one single energy saving bulb that the battery he is using to power his machine can power x50 , so what's the point?

He was introducing a technological solution that would destroy the petrol industry, automoile industry and the governments and powers profitting of them.

Of course they swiftly poisoned/murdered him, buried his work and labeled him fraudulent.

So if soke one is providing such a solution today, he should be well prepared for the enemies he's contending with and apply wisdom.

Please don't make me laugh. With the advancement in science and tech, you think if it is possible, such a "wonderful life changing innovation" will just die too .

What are you talking about. Electricity can be generated with Hydro(water). All it needs is some form of heat transfer to generate enough steam that can be directed to rotate a turbine. If you can get enough force to.spin a turbine you can generate Electricity.
Heat transfer you say? I said water standing along can not generate energy, here you are talking about using heat energy to generate steam to run turbine. Even Jss1 science will tell you that steam turbine is far from efficient (why do you think it was discontinued?)
