INTRODUCTION

Basic Midwifery Training Programme is an aspect of Nursing and Midwifery Education that prepares students to become professional (Registered) Midwives. The Qualification are accredited and graded by the Nursing & Midwifery Council of Nigeria.

ENTRY QUALIFICATION

You must be a science student that have graduated from secondary school or in SSS3. A minimum of five(5) O’level credit in not more than two (sittings) from WAEC/GCE, NECO and NABTEB. You can combine WAEC and NECO but not NABTEB. Should there be problem or any challenge in the course of registration, do not hesitate to contact the following (Mon-Fri: 8am- 5pm, Sat: 10am-4pm)

WASSCE/NECO or its equivalent with Credit in five (5) subjects including English language, Math, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry in not more than 2 sittings.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

Application forms are available at School Of Basic Midwifery (S.O.B.M.A), Awgu, Enugu State (beside Agwu General Hospital) from Tuesday 6th May, 2024 upon payment of N10,000 into First Bank Account of School Of Basic Midwifery, Awgu (Ministry Of Health) . Each candidate is required to produce a bank teller indicating N10,000 payment at the point of collection of forms in the school.
