Just another early morning appetizer to put us in the right spiritual frequency before worship.

“Old things pass away; behold, all things are become new”, remains a very good biblical quote a true believer can refer and apply to life, when making a decisive break from the past. Moving from dead works to a renewed life guided by the Holy spirit in order to move forward in life. The application of this reality was what God used in creation. Calling light out of darkness.

It was this light that shined upon the home of Rahab. Out of all the places in Jericho. Why did the spies choose the home of harlot to spend the night in hiding (Josh 2:1)? An act that defies human logic. Same can be said of Nazareth. Why did Jesus Christ, the son of God, live in a village of a few hundred people. A place of no significance. A place deemed nothing good can come out of it? But this harlot named Rahab had faultless faith. She feared and believed in the God of the people of Isreal (Josh 2:9-11). She had to make a decision between ethical versus spiritual alliance. She opted for the latter. A decision that saved herself and her family from destruction. Her choice also brought salvation to her future generation (Matt 1:5) and made her a good reference for those who exercised good faith (Heb 11:31).

Similarly, Jesus Christ chooses to take the longer route from Judea to Galilee via Samaria.
